While we were shocked that Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris Humphries so soon (she was married to the NBA star for just 72 days!), it doesn't come as a total surprise given the recent rumors that their relationship was on the rocks. The photos of Kris flirting with a mystery brunette in Miami may have had something to do with the split, but it seems as though his love for Kim's money was ultimately what led to the crumble of their marriage.

A source who travelled to Dubai with Kim earlier this month tells X17online exclusively:

"I heard Kim on the phone with Kris at one point during the trip, and she was swearing and screaming at him about how he doesn't have anything going on and how she's not going to support him."

The source added that the constant feuding was a huge source of stress for Kim, and interestingly enough, this isn't the first time Kris has been criticized for going after Kim's money. During the wedding episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim's sister Khloe voiced her concern on the matter, saying she was "worried about Kris' intentions," adding that he "has nothing to lose if he marries Kim and gets a divorce."

Kris has a $9.6 million contract with the New Jersey Nets (he made $3.2 million in 2010), but Kim and her family earned a whopping $65 million in the same year, so she has far more at stake financially. Of course, the reality TV starlet has hired a high profile divorce attorney to handle her case, and her rock solid prenup reportedly leaves her with just about everything, so it sounds like her troubles will be over soon enough...

Our photogs caught up with Brittny Gastineau at LA's famous The Grove shopping center on Monday (above), only hours after news broke that Britt's bff Kim Kardashian was filing for divorce from her hubby of just two months -- NBA player Kris Humphries.

Tres Glam jewelry designer Gastineau stood by Kim, telling us:

"I'm sad for them [Kim and Kris], but Kim is a strong woman. Sometimes things don't always work out the way we planned."

Just a few minutes later, Gastineau Tweeted: "Some girls don't realize what they're worth, some guys don't realize what they have."

Just last week, Gastineau told us that no matter what happens, "Kim will be fine." She would not confirm nor deny a break up at the time.

Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman were spotted picking up son Max from school on Monday, and the celebritot was decked out in an adorable chain mail costume. Aw, looks like someone's ready to get their trick or treat on tonight!

Rihanna won't be hitting the stage in Sweden tonight due to an unknown illness.

The 23-year-old diva, all hooked up with tubes, Tweeted the above photo from her hospital bed ... and the words, "Sorry Malmo!!!"

Live Nation, who is putting on RiRi's Loud Tour, says the singer is "not in condition to conduct the concert."

Hollywood's worst kept secret has finally been confirmed ... Jessica Simpson IS pregnant.

The 31-year-old songstress Tweeted the above photo of her pregnant belly all wrapped up ... and the following statement:

Aww ... so appropriate for Halloween! For weeks now, the pop diva has been sporting an obvious baby bump, but has refused to comment on whether or not she's expecting.

This will be the first baby for Jess and her fiance Eric Johnson.

X17 has spoken exclusively with renowned divorce attorney Mike Kelly, Chairman of the California Family Law Institute, to get his opinion on Kim Kardashian's divorce proceedings.

Kelly, a friend of Robert Kardashian -- Kim's father (Robert was a lawyer), has reviewed Kim's case. Kim's fortune is in the multi-millions; it's estimated that the Kardashian family made $65 million in 2010 alone.

Says Kelly, who has worked with celebs including Anthony Hopkins:

"It would be difficult for either of them to get spousal support because it’s an extraordinarily short marriage. California is a no-fault state, so it won’t make a difference if Kris went out and had sex with several women. But, as far as him doing what he did -– some of the pictures that have come out -– that will create a problem for him with getting anything.”

Kris has been spotted out flirting with women at nightclubs (sans Kim) on several occasions since the two wed in August. Kelly continues:

"Kris has no rights to Kim's fortune. The prenup will hopefully freeze him out completely. ... Between the prenup, shortness of the marriage and circumstances of the break-up, I don't think Kris will get anything."

Kelly spoke about Kim as a person and what Robert would say about the situation:

"I would have bet she was going to be faithful. In the family, you don’t find drugs or alcohol. There’s not that Lindsay Lohan behavior. ... They had a great father. ... With this filing, Kim is saying, ‘I’m not going to tolerate this behavior. Period.’ ... He [Robert] would have advised her to get divorced."
