Adam Lambert covers the new issue of Instinct Magazine, and he makes some interesting points about his career and how he's perceived by the gay male audience.

“As a community, we’re a little bit resistant to a gay male pop star ourselves,” Lambert says. “It’s very easy for people to look at my origin, which is American Idol, and automatically assume that I’m a commercial sellout or a puppet or a flash in the pan. I don’t think I’m any of those things. There’s something weird there. We’re very eager to celebrate a strong female. But to celebrate a fellow gay man — it gets catty sometimes.” Interesting!

On his new album, Trespassing, Adam tells the mag, "This is the kind of music I listen to. I know the style of vocal I have is kind of big. It has a certain edge to it. I’ve always loved rock, but I also love stuff that is more groove-based, more funky, more soulful, more dance music."

According to a report in UK Star, it seems like Adam Lambert will be Queen's new lead singer, but the American Idol alum has since tweeted that his quotes were taken out of context.

"The intention is to pay tribute to Freddie and the band by singing some f***ing great songs," he reportedly told the mag. "It's to keep the music alive for the fans and give it an energy that Freddie would have been proud of."

However, last night Lambert tweeted, "Oooh them clever reporters takin my quotes outta context.... I haven't confirmed any guest appearances. I was talking about the EMA'S. That being said, I'm truly flattered by your jump to such glorious conclusions mr journalist!! :)"

Lambert previously performed with Queen at the 2009 Idol finals as well as the aforementioned gig at the MTV EMAs. In Star's report, Adam stated that he'd love to hit the studio with the iconic rock band. "It'd be cool to record with Brian [May] and Roger [Taylor]," he said. "Being asked to front Queen is the best thing that can possibly happen."

A rep for Queen's label told Rolling Stone, "The Daily Star item only mentions that Adam may perform with Queen at Sonisphere. This is not confirmed. Nothing has been signed. However, if this were to happen, Queen would be returning to the setting of their final concert with Freddie Mercury, which took place in 1986."

At long last, Adam Lambert's new music video for "Better Than I Know Myself," the first single from his forthcoming album, "Trespassing," has finally been released!

The music video features the American Idol runner-up as both a sweet boy-next-door and as well as a dark and twisted bad guy.

Glambert told the Hollywood Reporter of his new single:

"The song is basically saying, 'I'm kind of a screw up, I do stupid things and continue to put my foot in my mouth, but be patient with me because I need you around -- you're the only person that gets me. You're the only person I feel comfortable with. You almost know me better than I know myself.' It's kind of an apology and kind of a plea. It's very honest."

In other news, it's been reported that Adam will hit the road this summer to tour with Queen's original members to play a string of dates, and he just might step into Mercury's lead spot!

Lambert's second solo album, "Trespassing," debuts on March 20.

The other night Adam Lambert, boyfriend Sauli Koskinen and a female friend were snapped leaving a movie at Arclight in Hollywood, and the trio could not seem to stop giggling! Aww, what's so funny?!

The American Idol alum recently released the artwork for his new album Trespassing, and interestingly enough, he's laid off his signature guyliner. The Hollywood Reporter named Adam's second studio album one of their 12 most anticipated albums of 2012, so we can't wait to hear the whole thing when it drops on March 20!

Last night Lauren Conrad and Adam Lambert (along with his bf Sauli Koskinen) dined at Katsuya in Hollywood, and while they weren't sharing a table, it looks like all parties enjoyed their sushi!

Lauren is known to be quite camera shy, so it was a nice change of pace to see her lovely face! And it's not just about the clothes and the smile -- Lauren's also got a killer bod, and she recently gave the deets about her workout routine on her blog. In addition to going to the gym, hiking and kickboxing, LC reveals that she enjoys hitting the slopes. "I encourage you to ski and snowboard those calories away," she writes. "You can burn up to 350 calories from one hour of skiing/snowboarding. It works a lot of muscle groups at once, which will maximize your workout. If you’re not one for skiing or snowboarding, build a snowman or have a snowball fight. You can burn up to 300 calories doing either of these activities for an hour." Sign us up!

Adam Lambert and boyfriend Sauli Koskinen were arrested in Helsinki, Finland after the two got into a public brawl at a bar called Don't Tell Mama.

The 29-year-old former American Idol star and Koskinen, 26, were kicked out of the club and started throwing punches outside, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Local authorities were investigating the incident and considering four assault charges.

Lambert Tweeted:

Jetlag+Vodka=blackout. Us÷blackout=irrational confusion. jail+guilt+press=lesson learned. Sauli+Adam+hangover burgers= laughing bout it. :)

Koskinen wrote on his blog:

"Fame is not easy. Celebrities are only human. Love is not easy either, but it is forever!"

The couple have been released from jail, and whether official charges were filed is still unknown.

We thought it wouldn't happen ... Adam Lambert was BACK at the AMA's tonight after his controversial 2009 performance had reportedly had him banned from the show for life!

Turns out, the media had it wrong. After Lambert kissed his male bass player -- a move that was unscripted, said producers -- during his 2009 performance, ABC received more than 1500 calls from unhappy parents and conservative groups spoke out.

Meanwhile, the show's executive producer, Larry Klein, recently told The Hollywood Reporter, Lambert "was never banned from the show."

Klein went on to say: "That thing got so out of control and was just so out of left field. The kiss wasn't in the script. Did Adam rehearse it on his own and not tell us? I have no idea ... Adam was performing on a stage. Did he get carried away? Absolutely. Was he regretful afterward? Of course he was, but it's over. ABC never banned him and Dick Clark Productions never would."

Not one to wisk down the red carpet without being noticed, Adam spiked his hair as high as it's ever been, donned some sparkly silver pants and a vest, and strutted with the best of 'em, with boyfriend, Sauli Koskinen by his side.

Good news for all of you Adam Lambert lovers!

The American Idol alum will make an appearance at the American Music Awards this weekend, and while he won't be performing, he will be presenting an award. Back in 2009, the singer caused an uproar when he kissed bassist Tommy Joe Ratliff and simulated oral sex during his performance of "For Your Entertainment", but it looks like it wasn't such a big deal after all.

“Adam Lambert was never banned from the show,” American Music Awards executive producer Larry Klein tells THR. “That thing got so out of control and was just so out of left field ... We laugh about it to this day." So will Adam perform again in the future? “Adam Lambert is a friend of ours, he's talented and I like everything about him,” Klein said. "We’d absolutely have him back.”

No word on whether Adam will poke fun at the incident, but we'll see soon enough! The 39th annual American Music Awards air on Sunday at 8pm EST on ABC.
