This was terrible. The main crime was that he lost total control of his voice to run around the stage with the ridiculous S&M-themed choreography. It's been done before and it's silly. When oral sex was simulated on him, that was it for me. I don't know why that kiss was an issue, but the oral sex simulation was totally inappropriate for that time slot. It's not a question of pushing boundaries, it's a question of knowing when to push them and 9 p.m. on a Sunday night when you know your young fans from 'Idol' are watching is not it.

Ok, I'll give you a little artistic liberty to do some weird stuff on stage IF you have talent. But this guy honestly cannot sing. The performance was horrible. I turned the channel it was so boring and so obviously flamboyant just for the sake of trying to stir up some interest in him merely based on the shock factor. He can't sing and that is going to be a problem for him in the long term.

bottom line, you only survive in the music biz based on unit sales of records. You aint gonna sell no records if you can't sing. And he can't sing and he doesn't write music.
