Amanda Who?
Posted on Wed Jul 30, 2008 03:19 PM PDT
I've always liked Amanda Peet - she seems like she'd be a fun person to hang out with, right?
And after a string of successful roles in movies like The Whole Nine Yards, Igby Goes Down and Identity, I was sure she'd become famous fast. Then I dunno what happened!
Here's the actress getting lunch on Melrose with a pal yesterday. Nice to see her around, at least!
But don't even get me started on her Studio 60 character - don't even!

I adore her - saw her on Showtime movie with Zach Braff - pretty funny.
I don't know why she hasn't made it on a larger scale. She's certainly pretty enough and funny enough.
She'll never live down her outrageous comments on vaccinating (she can pretend she's not embarrassed all she wants). She is an idiot.
I would suck a fart out of her ass to date her. Smokin' hot with a killer personality!
"A Lot Like Love" is one of my favorite movies. It stars Amanda Peet and Ashton Kutcher.
Amanda Peet Apologizes for Vaccine Parasite Comment
By Danielle, Senior Editor
Amanda Peet's use of the word "parasite" to describe parents who don't vaccinate their children in her recent Cookie magazine cover story angered many CBB and Cookie readers. In the interview, after stating that "now that I've done my research, vaccines do not concern me," Amanda added, "parents who don't vaccinate their children are parasites." However, after the issue hit the stands, the you-know-what hit the fan. Responding to the outrage her comment incurred, Amanda has issued an apology on the Cookie website saying, "I believe in my heart that my use of the word 'parasites' was mean and divisive." She goes on to explain "I know a lot of parents who secretly use as a justification, 'Well, enough other people are vaccinating, so therefore, we don't have to.'"
She does not, however, retract her position that vaccines are critical for the health of our children and our world and encourages the re-channeling of energy and resources into autism research.
N.S you're the idiot. U.S. parents are required to show proof of vaccination when their child enrolls in kindergarten. Ignorant parents who don't get the vaccines justify their dangerous decision by hoping enough responsible parents gave the vaccines to their children and preventable childhood diseases don't become a lethal epidemic. The next thing you'll say is Amanda Peet is a radical for believing in germs or doctors and nurse should sterilize the field before surgery.
Just because she isn't stalked by paps 24/7 doesn't mean she isn't famous.

As a parent of a child with severe autism I believe was caused by vaccination shots...what Ms. Peet said was irresponsible. We are playing russian roullette with our children's lives. You can't put the bullet back in the gun. There is no question vaccinations need to be cleaned up, better spaced out, given to older children. Autism is no day in the park.
706 -- Of course it is like that is the US, that whole country is f*cked up, I'm sure the vaccination companies have made it so as people are FORCED to inject their children with a bunch of damaging, needless crap so as they get their pay.
I live in Ireland, not only do people not push vaccination, they don't even ASK in schools.
America and it's idiot health system need a reality check.
I went to Columbia University with Amanda- her first "acting" gig was a Skittles commercial in 1994, the year we graduated.
