Feb 9, 2012 08:15 AM

JCARREY040804_006_X17WM230.jpgJane Carrey, an American Idol hopeful and the daughter of actor Jim Carrey, was eliminated from the Fox competition show Wednesday night.

Carrey, who performed Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Looking Out My Back Door," seemed very confident before hitting the stage saying, "My expectations of this week are that I'll stay here, so get used to me!"

However, after singing, the San Diego native wasn't thrilled with her own performance telling the cameras:

"I freaked out when I was there so I was really really shaky. I know I can do way better than that so I'm really disappointed."

In case you missed it, see Jane's performance in the video below. Are you surprised she was cut?

Alaina later Tweeted:

"I'm not a robot. I have No excuses. I messed up. You know what can ya do. At least didn't fall down again. Thank you everyone for the kind words. But the truth is I messed up. I'm gonna spend the rest of the day being thankful for all my blessings."

As for Scotty McCreery's "Star Spangled" mess-up, it happened at the World Series back in October. Even Christina Aguilera botched the lyrics to the song at the Super Bowl.
