American Idol has crowned a new winner!
On Wednesday evening, Season 11 finalists Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips shared the stage with musical guests Chaka Khan, Neil Diamond, Rihanna, Reba McEntire and judge Jennifer Lopez, before the winner was revealed.
Phillips performed "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" and "Bad Moon Rising," while Jessica performed "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" with original Dreamgirls star Jennifer Holiday, but after a record breaking 132 million votes, Ryan Seacrest announced that Phillips came out on top!
Last year's winner Scotty McCreery handed the former pawnshop worker his trophy, before he performed the single "Home" -- but he got so emotional he couldn't finish the song.
