Bono And The Edge Negotiating To Perform On American Idol Finale
Posted on Fri May 20, 2011 07:50 AM PDT
Bono is working on securing a performance with his bandmate The Edge for the season finale episode of American Idol, according to Page Six.
The U2 frontman is reportedly asking to play a few of their songs from the musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. Bono is also negotiating for the play's stars to join him on stage.
An insider tells Page Six:
- "They are talking to Fox about how it would work. Ideally, Bono and The Edge would perform and be joined onstage by the 'Spider-Man' cast. If everyone agrees, with millions watching, it could be great for the production."
The Spider-Man production has been plagued with drama ... including injuries to a few cast members during rehearsals. Find out when the play will open to the public ... after the jump.
Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark is said to be the most expensive play ever produced. It will open on June 14.
