Is David Done?

David Archuleta may be the odds-on favorite to win Idol this season yesterday afternoon - but his performance last night may have changed things!
During his rendition of Chris Brown's "With You" last night, Archuleta struggled with the lyrics. He got taken to task for his flubs by the judges, too - Randy immediately got on his case for his choice of songs and lambasting his delivery of "my boo".
Predictably enough, Simon was even harder on Archuleta, describing his performance as being like "a chihuahua trying to be a tiger" - ouch, Simon!
The slip-up isn't Archuleta's first, of course - anyone else remember the way he hummed through "We Can Work It Out" a few months ago? - but given the effort put forth last night by Syesha Mercado and David Cook, it could prove to be deadly. Cook in particular wowed the judges - in fact, his rendition of "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" earned praise from Simon as the best of the night!
So what do you think - can the voters keep Archuleta alive? Or has he made his last mistake? Either way, we can't wait to find out!
We have to agree with Simon, though - David Cook killllllllllllled it last night!

David Cook is great, but not much different from any other rocker (including arrogance!). Archuleta, on the other hand, is what this show is supposed to be about---the *discovery* of someone incredibly talented that can make his/her mark in American music history.
If you don't like him, why bother to write anything about him? Are you hoping to use his popularity to boost your traffic? Cheap trick. By the way, Simon lost his credibility as a Judge a long time ago. Check back the earliest episode to find out that Simon did not approve of David Cook progressing to the following round. Only Paula and Randy said yes to David Cook. That's reality on tape. What a fickle-minded Simon or unqualified Judge?

This wasn't his best performance but he's ABSOLUTLEY amazing! David Cook is awesome but is the typical amrican singer, Archuleta is young, cute, adorable AND The best singer in AI! Come on guys, suppurt young ppl, let Archuleta do what he can do, let's give him the chance of being who he wanna be and let our selves heard what we wanna heard. GO ON ARCHULETA! I L O V E Y O U!

I don't think David A should win because his voice just isn't powerful enough compared to the other two. He's a cute kid and all but I don't think that's why he should win American Idol. David C is so creative with his music. Every single song on the show he sings he makes it very interesting and his own and that's what makes him stand out. I just haven't seen anything like that from Archuleta. He's kind of boring to me. So I want David C for sure! That's my opinion so don't hate.
