American Idol's Pia Toscano Opens Up About Plans For Future Album

Pia Toscano was recently booted from American Idol, but despite her shocking elimination, the gorgeous 22-year-old singer is ready to take the music industry by storm.
Ms. Toscano was all smiles while recently visiting MTV Studios in New York. As for her upcoming album, the stunning brunette tells Us:
- "I'd like to do a pop album with an R&B influence. I definitely want to have those big ballads with the uptempo hits as well."
We can't wait to hear what the songstress whips up in the studio! Pia also opens up about her elimination off Idol. Read what she had to say ... after the jump.
When asked about her elimination from American Idol, Pia told Us:
- "I was in the bubble [during Idol], so I didn't realize I had so much support," the singer says, counting judge Jennifer Lopez as one of her biggest cheerleaders. "The first thing she said to me when she got on stage [Thursday] night was 'I've had so many doors slammed in my face and don't you ever give up. I'm here for you if you need me.' Just having her support is amazing because she's someone I've looked up my whole life."

i'm done w/american idol. pia was a better singer that all of them. i mean come on america - lauren alaina is another kelly pickler! stefano is another archuletta, the rock guy is another lambert, scotty is just scotty, cute but boring, and jacob is a dime a dozen - he'll disapear like taylor hicks, oh and finally theres the mcdonald guy, hes another kris allen - does anybody really hear anything about kris allen? no because hes a bore and doesn't have that x-factor (i'm gonna watch that rather than bogus idol) well, the same thing is gonna happn if this guy wins. pia can sing anything, she needed more time to prove herself, is beautiful to look at and has a lot more brains that lauren (dopey) alaina. america needs to wake up already and vote for the real singers - its not a popularity contest is a singing contest you bunch of idiots!!!
My girl is out. I cried so much thursday but I am so happy now to see what is in store for her.
