Star of the original Melrose Place, actress Amy Locane was charged with vehicular homicide and assault with an auto after an alleged drunk-driving incident last night left one person dead and another in critical condition.
Locane was charged in New Jersey this morning, where the accident took place. Last night around 9pm, the Cry Baby actress reportedly struck a car containing a husband and wife as they were turning into a driveway, says the Star-Ledger. The crash left the passenger, Helene Seeman, dead on the scene, while her husband, Fred Seeman, was flown to a nearby hospital where he's listed in critical condition.
Locane also allegedly struck another car in Princeton previous to the fatal accident, but left the scene before cops were called.
Amy apparently admitted to cops that she had had several glasses of wine before the incident.
She was arraigned today in Superior Court in Somerville, NJ, where bail was posted at $50,000. If convicted, Locane will face five to ten years in jail.
Locane, who became famous for a string of roles in the 90s, currently lives in New Jersey with her husband and two children.
