yes because kids who don't play cops and robbers, or watch TV are "normal". Whatever. And trust me, as a 30 something person (ok...33. I'm fessing up) kids are a lot different than when I was young. 7 yrs old today is about 11 or 12yrs old 20 years ago. Kids who are exposed to guns and knives, and given proper education about them, aren't curious about them later, and don't shoot or stab their classmates. They KNOW that they're dangerous.

And, I lived in 11 states, had 20 addresses by the time I was 30. Stability is more than an address/location. Stability is more of a mindset. Her kids will probably grow up to be more well-rounded than most. My only issue is that I wish she'd speak to her father again. They have similarities...they really do.

It's not that unusual for young boys to have knives. Cub Scouts can earn them at about that age. As long as the boy is taught how to use it properly & safely, it's not a big deal. When I was young (and I'm Brad's age), boys played mumblety-peg at the bus stop with their pocketknives. And yes, they took the knives to school. Nobody died.
