Angelina Jolie Donates $75,000 To Girls' School In Afghanistan
Angelina Jolie has donated $75,000 to a school for girls in eastern Afghanistan's Nangarhar province, according to UNHCR.
The school features eight classrooms, four administration buildings, a well and eight bathrooms, and it can accommodate up to 800 girls in two shifts. The academy was inaugurated last Thursday, and classes start on Monday.
Just 18 months ago, Jolie visited the settlement for refugee returnees and expressed concern about the lack of basic education facilities for children, so we're glad to see her taking some action.
Maybe Jennifer Aniston should donate a little bit too?
