Angie May Be Replacing Charlize In New Thriller

Seems like Angelina's the go-to gal for the films that other actors drop out of - first she takes over for Tom Cruise in Salt, and now she's apparently replacing Charlize Theron in the thriller The Tourist.
The film, (which once had Cruise attached as well) is a remake of the French film Anthony Zimmer, and this version would focus on an American tourist (presumably played by Jolie) who goes undercover abroad to help Interpol ensnare a former lover who's now a global criminal (Avatar's Sam Worthington.)
Risky Business Blog reports that with Theron out and Jolie's schedule open, this is seen as the perfect next film for Jolie.
And honestly, if there's one woman who could possibly replace the red-hot Charlize in a thriller, it's Angelina!
Sounds a little like it could be as sizzling as Mr. & Mrs. Smith!

It's her best genre, although her dramatic roles do well too (if not always at the box office, definitely with award noms). Think you have the storyline backwards. She's the tourist who helps Interpol, not the other way around.

her dramatic roles do not do well
the only role that has done well is action
that's prob why she's going back to it, no oscars to be had and apparently needs the money for that gaudy lifestyle they lead
same old, same old casting. the producers probably think they'll get a guaranteed hit with her but they are so out of touch with public taste
I would have probably seen it with
Charlize but now I can save my money.

AJ is a terrible actress. The only movie she can pull off is action and that is overdone already. Some desperate producer thinks he's gonna get a slam dunk hit with her because they're so disconnected that people aren't into her and have had enough
And yeah, seems she has announced taking time off several times and then goes right back to work. WTH? Just like they sold their babies' pictures and promised to give the $$ to charity but supposedly kept it and only gave away part?
