The orphange admits this woman is Z's grandmother. They are not disputing that. The mother ran away so they told the agency that she was dead.
Ang won't lose Z the birth mother doesn't have any money to fight it. The sad part is Z will grow up hearing her mom is alive and wanted her but Ang kept her from her. Just sad the adoption which was so positive now has to have a negative to it.

If the mother ran away, then she abandoned her baby. Plenty of birth parents have second thoughts after an adoption is finalized, but they don't get their kids back. And Zahara was a sick baby. She was hospitalized twice after her adoption. If she was left in the orphanage in Africa, she'd be dead by now.

I don't understand the trend to rush to Africa to adopt, but I would hope that Brad & Angelina don't lose the child they've grown to love as their own.

I don't know if this story is true or not, however I have often wondered how legal many adoptions by celebrities are. Most of the people I know who have adopted both from foreign countries and in the US have had to wait up to two years to complete the adoption process. So many of these celebrities seem to go on vacation or hiatus and just come back with a child. It doesn't seem fair to the average Joe. I have also wondered why more celebrities don't adopt children here in the US. There are so many children here being raised in foster homes that would love to be adopted.

I saw Zahara's grandmother in an interview, crying, when Angelina took her. They said the mother was dead, but that she STILL had the grandmotner, who loved and wanted Zahara. She said live on the interview, that Zahara's big brown eyes looked just like her daughter/Z's mother, and she could not do anything about it. Where did this "mother" come from?

American babies aren't adopted by these celebrities because that would not bring them as much attention. They may get a nice story and we all go ahhhhh isn't that nice.

But that doens't compare to the endless amount of talk that adopting a foreign bay generates. Just look back how much press this has generated for Angie and Brad ever since she adopted Maddox. It started with Maddox, then Zahara and look at the outrage her changing Pax's name caused.....all in the news all over the place every single day.

Why not adopt a baby, from wherever it might be, where it is a fact they have no other mother/father/family? Then there would be no issues.
