While we may admire those who give anonymously I have to agree that when public figures stand up for something there is an audience that might join in. And, being a volunteer in non profit organizations who need donations badly I would be grateful for any publicity that a donation from a celebrity would bring. I will bet it's the organization that asks for the media attendance.
