Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Donate $340,000 To Somali Relief Group

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have donated $340,000 to the Humanitarian Initiative Just Relief Aid, which helps provide healthcare for homeless children in Somalia.
The country is experiencing its worst famine in 60 years, and the United Nations reports that 750,000 people are at risk of starving to death over the next few months. Jolie has been a goodwill ambassador for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees since 2001, and when she attended the UN Refugee Agency Awards in Switzerland last week, she became emotional when she reflected on the work she's done over the past decade.
"Most of all I'm so grateful -- I don't want to cry -- to the refugee families that I have the honor and privilege to spend the last years with," she said. "From them I've learned so much. I've learned to be a better person, a better mother. They've inspired me by showing me the unbreakable strength of the human spirit."
Glad to see this Hollywood supercouple puts their money where their mouths are!

public announcement again? i don tget it, people donate all their fortune to charity but do not give out a public statement. i have no problem with celebs selling their baby pics for money but these 2 claimed they where going to give the 18milil to charity but if calculate all the money they hv bn donating, it is no where near 18 mili.
Would be nice to see them donate something out of the blue instead of when a movie is out or when there's been something bad in the tabloids about them. I mean what, is Jolie trying to prove to everyone how much more "exciting" she is than Aniston? Or just trying to boost ticket sales for Pitts underperforming BORING movie. They got 14 mill for the pics and said it went to charity but haven't given close to 14 mill all together. Do they not think anyone can count?
I hope they do something for people at home as well. There are enough jobless unemployed poor people in this country who need all the help they can get
