Report: Angelina Jolie Starves Herself To Make A Statement

Angelina Jolie has received criticism over the years for her thin frame, and now it's being reported that the Oscar winner is intentionally starving herself. But why?
A source tells Us Magazine that Jolie, who travels the globe as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, "puts herself on fasts to make statements for the children she visits." Jolie has been with the UN for over ten years now, and she's made dozens of trips to countries in Africa and the Middle East. The source continues, "She says, 'If they can't eat, I can't eat.' [Jolie] does different cleanses from around the world. It's very dramatic, but that's how she gets."
So how does partner Brad Pitt feel about her drastic dieting? "He's worried about her and has made her see a zillion doctors, but they keep telling her she's fine," the source says.
But what kind of a message does this send to the rest of the world?

This is the most pathetic, ignorant thing she has ever said. I actually do aid work in Africa & Haiti, and do you really think starving people who can not eat for lack of food, who see their children die of starvation & malnutrition, appreciate a woman from the richest country in the world starving herself on purpose? How about staying healthy as a statement to her own children? She is a joke in circles of real aid workers who are boots on the ground for weeks/months at a time, not a few hours with camera rolling. Her behavior is insulting.
OMG! She didn't say sh!t. Sources say this and I can BS on this one. Ignorance IS bliss and the hate for her is just astounding.
That sounds like something like Angelina would do, not eat because she identifies with poor and suffering children. Angelina seems to always be doing something, working etcetera, and is not comfortable with just relaxing and chilling like Brad can do. I think her mindset was created by the way she grew up and the way her mother treated her. Angelina's mother left her alone in a white room and did not want to interact with Angie when she was a baby for two years because her mother was angry with Angelina's father John Voight.
Umm, it's called being skinny from doing drugs, coke?
That's as insulting as people who do experiments being homeless for a week or poor for a month, it's just acting, if you know you can go back to your real life at the end, you don't know how it really feels.

Angelina is a very complicated person. Although she is such a beautiful woman, she is also very intelligent and complicated in her mental process, but by no means perfect or entirely innocent. I love and respect her more than I can say but I frequently disagree with some of her actions,

Bull s**t! There's not one ounce of truth in this. She'd be giving up more than food if there there was. I get so tired of her getting so much credit for doing so little. It's got to be an insult to those that are actually hands on, and do all the work. Makes me sick to watch this woman use those starving little kids to gain attention. Just think of the money wasted to take trips around the world with her own 6 kids. Look at the money they spend on housing. Crazy a$$ woman needs to stay out of the spotlight! 30 years ago I heard the same comment from a german friend, who later became religious. She said she used to eat the basic meals when thinkng of the many starvy poor around the world. She came froma rich family. So I believe what Angelina says, yet, I think she should eat more, otherwise when she is older, she will have problems with her bones. I am telling you this by my own experience....
It's the media that keeps her in the spotlight. They know she's a nutcase that's going to break anytime now. Will the real Angelina please stand up? I would imagine the real reason she keeps the weight off is, she looks less like a pig when she's thin.

It's only a 'statement' if she's proclaiming it, she hasn't said a thing so it's either untrue or incredibly idiotic (well it's the latter anyway but it'd be solely idiotic if she does it as a 'statement' but never tells anyone that's what she's doing).
