Howard K. Stern's Lawyer Expects Client To "Ultimately Be Exonerated"

I thought 2007 was behind us? Ugh, so sad to dredge all this Anna Nicole Smith stuff up again, but justice must be served.
Howard K. Stern has been charged with conspiracy - Attorney General Jerry Brown called him "the principal enabler" - in connection with the ongoing investigation regarding Anna's drug-related death. Now one of Stern's lawyers, Krista Barth, has released the following statement:
- "For over two years, I have represented Howard K. Stern in connection with civil litigation arising out his relationship with Anna Nicole Smith and false accusations published about him, including representing Mr. Stern in the body custody proceedings. In the course of that litigation, I have spent hundreds of hours reviewing depositions under oath or interviews of almost every principal witness claiming to possess first hand knowledge of Mr. Stern's relationship with Anna Nicole [Smith]. His accusers have been shown to have no credibility due to their conflicting stories, to have a bias based on their own personal agendas or to have no factual basis to support their accusations. Given the knowledge obtained from these various cases, I am confident that the criminal charges brought against Mr. Stern last evening by the State of California will likewise be shown to have no factual basis and that Mr. Stern will ultimately be exonerated with respect to his conduct.
I would remind the public that the fundamental principle of our criminal justice system is that an individual is presumed innocent. Publicity efforts by the State of California last night and today in connection with the filing of the charges against Mr. Stern are inconsistent with that principle and jeopardize Mr. Stern's constitutional right to a fair trial. With formal charges having been filed, this case should not be tried in the court of public opinion and Mr. Stern has no intention of doing so. However, Mr. Stern and I are mindful of the reality that he has for the past several years found himself on trial in the media. The media trial of Mr. Stern has been based on constant shouts of guilty from a barrage of uninformed commentators based on totally inaccurate and often manufactured "facts." The television, tabloid and Internet trial of Mr. Stern in the court of public opinion has been based on sensational lies, speculation, rumor and gossip. Unfortunately, it appears that criminal charges have now been brought by the State of California based on this same type of misinformation.
Mr. Stern will continue efforts to have the evidence in his civil cases unsealed and made available for public inspection and review so that hopefully any future media discussions will be informed ones, based on the actual facts and not sensationalized accusations that have no factual or legal merit. If this occurs, future discussions will focus on Mr. Stern's innocence."

I'm not a big fan of his, but I think his only "crime" was loving Anna too much. Those that said no to her were no longer in her life. Anna was a big girl and made her own choices.
What is wrong with people the doctor prescribs it she took it and now it's his fault. What can't people do the right thing for a change. Stop taking drugs then put the blame on past history or abuse that you suffered from the past. Anna was her own enabler. she knows all these drugs would've kill her one day. If they had to blame they should blame these doctors who prescribed these drugs in the first place. these were not street drug. even if they were did he inject while she was sleeping. that lady made her bed and that's what happened she slept in it.
Of course howard loved her, he loved her to death. Haven't forgot about Daniel either. Vile, evil, reprehensible scum, all of them. It's not over yet...........

it is quite different to knowingly put nearly 500 pills into a person whom HKS supposedly cared about. There is a way to provide just enough, but the blatant OVERUSE is just unacceptable. Knowing that HKS gave ANS soooooooo many drugs is just not forgiveable. She could have aspired to be a loving mother, instead, this man literally forced pills into her mouth. That is a crime. As a matter of fact her only aspiration was to be loved by every one and the people closest to her were disgusted by her. She was tortured like an invalid she was a prisoner. Any person who loves somebody would be in anguish to see the other incoherent. Not HKS. He relished in it and videotaped it. He faked tears after her death to be on tv. He tried to steal the baby. FOR WHAT? What would HKS do with Dannilynn? Use her for his sick manifestations? He should be charged with a crime for his evil thoughts toward Dannielynn. How about some intent to cause great bodily harm by poisoning her as a fetus. HOW ABOUT THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And the problem with Erosevich is that she and Howard conspired time and time again how they could receive thousands of pills, SO STRONG DOSES, completely unacceptable. And these bastards buried her in the Bahamas where she lies beneath the ground, surrounded by the slums. All refusing to move her lovely body back to the states. DISGUSTING.

So a known drug addict dies (a woman we all know has been involved in drugs since she became famous and long before she met Howard K. Stern) and suddenly everybody else is responsible for her death and she's just a poor innocent victim? WTF? Are people crazy? Trying to blame someone else for her death? Like she didn't choose to pop pills? Oh, poor Anna. NOT. She was a grown woman who was an addict. Why on earth would people blame the person who stood by her through thick and thin...through FAT and thin? It's his fault she took pills? It's his fault she got pills? Because Anna wouldn't have been able to get pills on her own, right? What a sick joke the justice system has become.
