Is California’s former first couple headed for a reconciliation?

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver have been attending couples therapy to try and work out their marriage, because apparently the actor has pledged to give up his womanizing ways, sources told The Post.

Shriver is also having a hard time with the thought of divorce because of her strong religious upbringing, and Schwarzenegger is willing to do whatever it takes to keep their marriage in tact.

“Arnold and Maria are having marriage counseling to work through their issues to get back together. Maria is a devout Catholic and doesn’t believe in divorce, but is still struggling with the humiliation she endured by him,” a source tells the post.

Shriver and Arnold tied the not in 1986, but she filed for divorce on July 1 after it was revealed that the Terminator star had an ongoing affair with the family's housekeeper, Mildred “Patty” Baena, and fathered a child out-of-wedlock.

Apparently a mutual friend of the couple is working out business and financial conditions if the couple decided to call off the divorce, and Shriver v. Schwarzenegger has virtually vanished from LA's divorce docket. The former couple's first hearing is set for July 1, 2016.

Should Maria give Arnie a second chance?

These guys aren't as young as they used to be!

Posing shirtless in the hospital while hooked up to IVs, Arnold Schwarzenegger, 64, posted a WhoSay photo of himself on a bed nursing an injured shoulder, while his costar Sylvester Stallone, 65, also shirtless, was hooked up an IV in the bed next door.

Schwarzenegger explained:

"After all the action, stunts & physical abuse shooting The Expendables 2 and The Last Stand, it was time for a little tune up on my shoulder. Look who was coincidentally waiting in line behind me for his shoulder surgery. Now we're ready for another round of great times and action when we shoot The Tomb."

The Terminator star signed on for The Tomb on Wednesday, and he's set to play an inmate opposite Stallone, who plays the designer of a master prison. The Tomb begins shooting in Louisiana this spring.

Slipping on a pair of spandex cycling shorts, Arnold Schwarzenegger worked up a sweat with a few friends while on a bike ride in Santa Monica, Sunday afternoon.

It's hard to believe the Terminator star will celebrate his 65th birthday this year, he seems to have stopped the aging clock!

After breaking up with his wife of 25 years, Maria Shriver, it was reported that the pair were considering a reconciliation for 2012, and they were even spotted wearing matching rings again. But sources close to Shriver claim it's just not true, and it was actually Eunice Kennedy's engagement ring that Maria was photographed wearing, not her own.

Arnold isn't wearing any jewelry in our pix, but is it possible the former pair could reconcile this year?

Though it was recently reported that Maria Shriver may be getting back together with husband Arnold Schwarzenegger, a source tells People that the "reports of a reconciliation are not true."

Maria was recently spotted wearing a ring on her left hand, but the jewelry is actually her late mother Eunice Shriver's engagement ring, not a gift from the former California governor.

Arnold and Maria announced their separation in May after 25 years of marriage, but they are still committed to spending time with their four kids, Katherine, Christina, Patrick and Christopher. "Arnold and Maria will always come together when it comes to supporting and loving their children," a family insider tells the mag.

While in Albuquerque, N.M., filming The Last Stand -- his first starring role since stepping down as California's governor -- Arnold Schwarzenegger sustained a nasty head injury, on Friday.

Schwarzenegger proudly shared a TwitPic of his battle wound, with the caption:

"Got a little banged up on set today. Thanks to the medical staff who got me back in action an hour later!"

The Terminator star didn't reveal how the accident happened, but production was temporary halted on the film so that on-set medics could treat the injury.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and estranged wife Maria Shriver reunited at church in Santa Monica on Sunday morning.

Surprisingly, their interaction looked as sunny as the day itself -- both were smiling and talking, and they even walked off together at the end of the ceremony.

They were joined by their kids (son Christopher, 13, is pictured above.) The family is celebrating Maria Shriver's birthday.

And, we were practically shocked to see that Arnold even got a kiss! See the pic after the jump!

No one can deny that Arnold Schwarzenegger is still packing massive guns, and when it comes to his frame of mind, his shirt apparently says it all with the single word "EMPOWER."

The former Governor hung out at the Brentwood Country Mart with sons Patrick and Christopher over the weekend. The boys couldn't help but rough house a bit while heading through the parking lot ... following their famous dad to the car.

Their mom Maria Shriver was no where in sight. Despite his marriage falling apart, looks like Arnold wants to keep the bond with his sons going strong.

On Friday Arnold Schwarzenegger was spotted leaving Barneys in Beverly Hills in his tricked out black Bentley, and it doesn't appear as though the former California governor is affected by current state of the economy. Now that he's returning to the big screen and raking in a movie star salary again, maybe he'll plan to donate some of his cash to charity?
