Jason Momoa is ready to make his mark as a buff, sexy warrior in the remake of Conan The Barbarian.
The 1982 original film launched the career of a then-unknown Arnold Schwarzenegger. The former governor recently announced he'd like to get back into the biz. Check out Arnold contemplating his options in the gallery below.
As for Conan, a number of actors tried out for the lead role in the new version including Kellan Lutz, but Jason Momoa won over producers. Jason will star alongside Ron Perlman and Rose McGowan. The action flick slays into theaters this August.
Momoa, longtime love of Cosby Show's Lisa Bonet, will soon be receiving an honor by CinemaCon. Find out which award he'll be receiving ... after the jump.
Jason Momoa will be receiving the Rising Star of 2011 Award with Julianne Hough. Joe Drake of Lionsgate Films made the following statement:
- "Jason is the definition of a rising star. He will absolutely be the next unstoppable male action hero, and we are so proud that it will be because of this film."
