X17 EXCLUSIVE - Arnold Schwarzenegger Calls Family Meeting To Break Divorce News To Daughters

Arnold Schwarzenegger met with daughters Christina, 19, and Katherine, 20, this afternoon at the Fairmont Miramar hotel in Santa Monica for a pow wow about his impending divorce from the girls' mother, Maria Shriver.
Shriver has reportedly retained divorce attorney Laura Wasser to represent her, while it was reported today that Schwarzenegger now has lawyer Bob Kaufman on his side.
The power couple separated May 9th and neither side has officially confirmed that a divorce is in the works. We asked Maria on Monday if she would confirm she's hired Wasser and the former television reporter stayed quite.
Today, Schwarzenegger arrived at the hotel looking serious and a bit stern. His daughters arrived separately, just ahead of their father and they all left the hotel after about an hour and a half.
Our photographer tells us: "Arnold didn't look his usual, happy self. He was serious and it looked like he was dreading whatever was about to happen."
When Christina and Katherine left, our photographer noted: "Neither of them was smiling. It definitely didn't look like they had a light-hearted lunch. All three of them seemed to have a lot on their minds."
It has been reported a Schwarzenegger-Shriver divorce could cost the Terminator star around $200 million. Wasser, who's representing Shriver, repped Britney Spears at the beginning of her divorce from Kevin Federline (she then dropped the case before the divorce was finalized). Kaufman represented Jennifer Aniston during her split from Brad Pitt in 2005. He also repped Reese Witherwpoon and Jessica Simpson in their divorces.

Why are celebrities always meeting at hotels and restaurants? Don't they have homes? Who meets with your own daughters at a public hotel to discuss your divorce? I'd do that in the privacy of our home. Just asking for publicity, looks like.
