Ashlee Simpson Reportedly Hooking Up With Pete Wentz's Best Friend Craig Owens

Ashlee Simpson and musician Craig Owens were spotted shopping together in Los Angeles the other day, and not only were the two smiling and looking totally lovey dovey, but Pete Wentz's former pal/protege had his arm around the newly single starlet!
Simpson's soon-to-be ex-husband signed Owens to his record label last year, and now sources tell Us Magazine that Wentz is ticked off about the possible romance. "Pete did a lot for this guy," a source tells the mag. "Craig was in another band and got kicked out. Pete found Craig, built a band around him and signed him. He's shocked at how this guy is repaying him."
Simpson and Wentz announced they were divorcing last month after less than three years of marriage, but a source close to Ashlee says the two are "longtime friends" and Owens is "comforting her throughout this difficult time."
Think this is why Pete may have filed for joint custody?
