Ashlee Simpson To Join Melrose Place!

Ashlee Simpson ASimpson0907008_05.jpg Yup, Ashlee Simpson has landed herself a role on the CW's Melrose Place remake, and it sounds like the juiciest one on the show!

According to Entertainment Weekly, Ashlee is set to play Violet, a character who appears sweet and innocent on the surface, but uses that guise to mask her inner "shrewd sex kitten." Think Ash can pull this off? We can't wait to find out!

Others already cast include Katie Cassidy and Michael Rady, and sources tell EW that Heather Locklear is still in talks to reprise her role as Amanda Woodward. Additionally, OC alum Mischa Barton is still eyeing two different roles - we could see her playing a seemingly normal med student or a "sweet schoolteacher."

Mischa and Ashlee on the same show? So much acting talent, we can barely contain our excitement!

Huh I wasn't to interested with this new Melrose Place but I may watch it now. Is it bad that the only reason I'm considering it is because I want to see how good/bad Ashlee will be????lol
