Ashlee's Unemployed! -- Let Go From Melrose Place

It happens to the best of us ... Mrs. Simpson-Wentz has been cut from Melrose Place, according to Entertainment Weekly. We caught her out shopping yesterday and she didn't seem too troubled by the news. In fact, her co-star Colin Egglesfield was also let go. The show's executive producer Todd Slavkin told the Weekly it was always "... the original plan going into the development of the show. We felt that once the murder mystery [involving their characters] was resolved, the tone of the show was going to shift ... and [Simpson-Wentz's] character would move on."
But there's good news for Heather Locklear who has just returned to the show -- Slavkin told EW Locklear is "... in every episode moving forward. She's a major focus [of the show]."
Still, the series just got an order for 5 more episodes rather than for another entire season. With quick-to-fail series like The Beautiful Life, is the CW hesitant to commit? And why might that be? Because the script is so incredibly sucky? I mean really, I love trashy soaps but Melrose Place is so beyond anything even remotely watchable. I preferred Mischa!

She has no talent at anything and such a LA poser. There was no reason she was on this, or any, show she can't act or sing. The Simpson clan are good at only one thing - sucking at everything.
What a nerd, she tried to be punk didn't work, tried to sing = SNL and no records sold, like hers sister, tried to act = horrible acting. What next? Be a fashion consultant for Ungaro? Her and the skank's talent level is basically the same.

all the remakes are horrible! but i like melrose place more than 90210, and ashlee's character along with the med student/prostitute are the only two interesting characters
