That Wacky Ashlee!

We certainly weren't expecting an explanation from Ashlee Simpson as to why she canceled her summer tour - after all, that's a big load to place on a pregnant starlet's shoulders - but after reading her MySpace explanation, we're certainly glad she spoke up!
According to her latest blog - hilariously titled "The Dog Ate My Tour" - Ashlee's team has supplied her with a few excuses for her lack of follow-through:
"1. jury duty (but you can get out of jury duty once) 2. creative differences (but I'm a solo artist so that didn't make sense) 3. not in the mood/have a headache (wait, that was an excuse for Pete! and it didn't work. See next reason) 4. the baby ...and that's where I drew the line."
Looks like Ashlee's got that famous Simpson sense of humor - let's hope she passes it along to her baby!

Her new CD is NOT selling and she can't fill even small venues like house of blues. That's why there's no tour.
