Kutcher's Got A New Gig: Philanthropist

Ashton joined Brad Pitt and a ton of other celebs, politicians and philanthropists at the Clinton Global Initiative conference in New York yesterday, as the new joint head of The Demi & Ashton Foundation. Yep, that's what they named it, as Demi tweeted earlier this week.
- "Hubby & I have started The Demi and Ashton Foundation or The DNA Foundation as we like 2 call it. We're ready 2 help bring an end 2 slavery1"
DNA? Gag me.
I'm all for celebs lending their names to raise awareness for worthy causes, but unlike Brad's Make It Right Foundation, Matt Damon's H20 Africa Foundation, and Alicia Keys' Keep A Child Alive Foundation, why does it seem that these two are just trying to raise awareness for Demi & Ashton?
At least they could have gone with something more serious like The Moore/Kutcher Foundation, right?
I dislike them Moore and Moore everyday...

Well, AK's awful show was canceled today after only 2 episodes, and his movie tanked. Her career is dead. Going humanitarian seems like Plan B.
Maybe ashton and demi can get all smug and full of themselves like Brad, Angie and Bono. Let's face it, what the world really needs are more smug celebs lecturing the world about the environment while they create carbon footprints that would take hundreds of mere mortals six months to create.
I have to agree with X17 on this one. It totally feels like more of Demi and Ashton trying to put attention on themselves. Good examples of other celebrities not "all about themselves" and more about the causes. Good call on this one.
