Beyonce and Jay-Z have released the first photos of their daughter Blue Ivy, posting the pictures on B's web site.

Blue was born Jan 7 in New York -- Beyonce recently made two appearances, showing off her amazing post-baby body.

The super couple has been busy getting back to work after the birth of their first child, but they also seem to be preparing for baby Blue's future. Bey and Jay-Z recently trademarked their daughter's name, reserving it for a future line of baby products!

In the meantime, seems Blue Ivy will survive on her good looks alone. Look at all that hair!

Beyonce Knowles And Jay-Z Trademark Daughter Blue Ivy Carter's Name

Feb 9, 2012 01:30 PM

jayzbeyonceparis042411_04_X.jpg Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on January 26 to protect baby Blue Ivy Carter's name, according to the Washington Post. The superstar parents want to reserve it for a future line of baby carriages, baby cosmetics, and diaper bags.

While this all seems a bit ridiculous, several individuals have already submitted their own applications for the name! Fashion designer Joseph Mbeh requested “Blue Ivy Carter NYC” just four days after the baby was born, and another applicant filed on January 20 for “Blue Ivy Carter Glory IV” to use for a line of fragrances. The trademark office has denied both applications, stating that the name belonged to a “very famous infant ” and consumers may falsely assume that the products were approved by the celebrity parents.

Beyonce and Jay-Z's application is still pending, but sources say it's a done deal because the couple are legally authorized to trademark the names of their children.

And speaking of baby products, Gwyneth Paltrow recently bought the tiny celebritot an $880 Bugaboo baby stroller. Think B will actually use it when she pushes her little one around town?

Beyonce appeared on the UK's X-Factor back in 2008.

Now that Nicole Scherzinger, Paula Abdul and host Steve Jones have left the show, the X-Factor could definitely use Beyonce's star power.

Beyonce Knowles' Rep Says First Post-Pregnancy Interview Is Fake!

Jan 18, 2012 09:59 AM

beyonce-fake-interview-stor.jpgThough UK Star Magazine stands by their interview with Beyonce Knowles, the singer's rep insists that it's fake.

“Completely made up,” B's rep told Access Hollywood. When asked if the interview was legitimate, the rep added, “absolutely not.” However, an editor for the magazine tells the show, "It is not made up or fictitious at all. We bought the interview from a reporter in the U.S. who conducted the interview with Beyonce before the birth. The reporter then obtained the 'top-up' info after the birth, which we believe to have been signed off by a girl on her LSM team."

Dozens of news outlets picked up UK Star’s article (interestingly enough, it makes no reference to two separate interviews -- it simply reads “Beyonce WORLD EXCLUSIVE first interview”), in which Beyonce allegedly discusses the beefed up security at Lenox Hill Hospital and her first moments with newborn daughter Blue Ivy.

Hmm, think the singer and hubby Jay-Z will sue?

Beyonce Knowles Defends Her Decision To Beef Up Hospital Security For Blue Ivy's Birth

Jan 17, 2012 01:40 PM

beyonce-new-interview.jpgBeyonce Knowles gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy just ten days ago, and the Grammy winner is already gushing about her baby girl in a new interview with UK Star magazine. Of course, she's also speaking out about rumors that beefed up security at Lenox Hill Hospital inconvenienced other patients in the maternity ward.

After a handful of parents complained that they were prevented from seeing their newborn babies due to the security measures requested by Beyonce and Jay-Z, the singer insists that it was routine ... for her, anyway! “Security was very tight, not for the sake of it,” she said. “It was for the security of our daughter."

Switching the subject back to her, Beyonce described the moment she first held Blue in her arms, telling the mag, "The words can’t be found. It’s an old cliche that the thing expectant moms look forward to most is holding their child in their arms for the first time. But it’s one of those cliches that is a real truth.”

So is Jay-Z really ready to be put on daddy duty? “He will change diapers, of course he will,” Beyonce said. “He is going to be a very hands-on father. He has already said publicly that providing isn’t love. Love is being there. Love is doing little things for your child ... He is a very protective and loyal guy by nature. He is a very protective husband, and since we have found out I was pregnant I have seen the protective father in him." Hopefully he feels the same way about the diapers though!
