Beyonce Knowles Defends Her Decision To Beef Up Hospital Security For Blue Ivy's Birth

Beyonce Knowles gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy just ten days ago, and the Grammy winner is already gushing about her baby girl in a new interview with UK Star magazine. Of course, she's also speaking out about rumors that beefed up security at Lenox Hill Hospital inconvenienced other patients in the maternity ward.
After a handful of parents complained that they were prevented from seeing their newborn babies due to the security measures requested by Beyonce and Jay-Z, the singer insists that it was routine ... for her, anyway! “Security was very tight, not for the sake of it,” she said. “It was for the security of our daughter."
Switching the subject back to her, Beyonce described the moment she first held Blue in her arms, telling the mag, "The words can’t be found. It’s an old cliche that the thing expectant moms look forward to most is holding their child in their arms for the first time. But it’s one of those cliches that is a real truth.”
So is Jay-Z really ready to be put on daddy duty? “He will change diapers, of course he will,” Beyonce said. “He is going to be a very hands-on father. He has already said publicly that providing isn’t love. Love is being there. Love is doing little things for your child ... He is a very protective and loyal guy by nature. He is a very protective husband, and since we have found out I was pregnant I have seen the protective father in him." Hopefully he feels the same way about the diapers though!
I'm sure they could always hire a security team to handle that though...

People aren't understanding these security measures. Beyonce's child is more likely to be kidnapped, held for ransom, etc over the child of someone who criminals easily would not target. It has very little to do with her child being "better." It simply has everything to do with security no very little to do with vanity. The fact the news of this is being published on gossip sites adds to people's ideas of it being a vanity issue.
If you need that much security to protect your child, and you have all that money then have the kid in your own home where you know what to expect. The fact that anyone was kept from their child for her is beyond absurd.
The security was over the top and ridiculous - you would think she was the president. The creation of a spa just for one woman to give birth was also outrageous. They should be deeply, deeply ashamed for their selfish, immature behavior. They truly sicken me.
If you're going to inconvenience people bc you don't want your lies to be caught, then you should have given birth at home. It's pretty easy for people like them w $. The reason they didn't was bc the surrogate was not w them and they had to go meet her at the hospital.
They need exclusivity when they allow pics and sell them $$$$$

I don't beleive she was pregnant and her body is not one that seems to me that would bounce back like every single celebrity who got through pregnancy without a single stretch mark and back into size 2 pants a week later. by the way, I was 40 when I had my last child and was back in my regular clothes within 8 days, so I know it can happen but not to every single celeb.
