Posted on Thu Aug 16, 2012 01:35 PM PDT
Beyonce is passionate about World Humanitarian Day, and she's telling CNN's Anderson Cooper all about it.
Jay-Z's wifey says tragic events in Baghdad on August 19, 2003 inspired her to get involved. Knowles tells Cooper:
- "I was definitely attracted to raising awareness of this day of recognition. I found out that 22 people lost their lives helping people in Baghdad and I thought it was such an incredible thing to turn that into something positive and try to include the world in doing something great for someone else."
Blue Ivy's mom, who filmed the "I Was Here" music video at the U.N, will debut her collaboration with the United Nations on Sunday.
