Can't Stop The Music
Thankfully, it looks like one awards show is safe from the writers' wrath - the Grammys!
Yesterday, the WGA released a statement revealing that they "voted not to picket" the music-industry awards show next month.
"Members of the American Federation of Musicians face many of the same issues concerning compensation in new media that we do," the presidents of WGA West and East said in their statement.
"In the interest of advancing our goal of advancing a fair contract, the WGAW Board felt that this gesture should be made on behalf of our brothers and sisters in AFM and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA)."
This means an end to the controversy that's been brewing over whether certain musicians with acting careers - most notably Beyonce Knowles - might be crossing a picket line by appearing or performing at the ceremony.
Hopefully they'll be able to load up the lineup with stars - after all, if the writers set their sights on the Oscars, the Grammys might be this season's biggest ceremony!
Talk about good news - this is just music to our ears!
