Alexa Ray Joel's Parents Release A Statement...
Posted on Thu Dec 10, 2009 09:39 AM PDT

Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley's daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, was hospitalized last week and is now in stable condition.
Now her famous folks have this to say:
- "Every parent can imagine the pain and anguish we face as parents of a daughter who is working to recover from the dangerous actions she took while suffering a devastating heartbreak. As much as we hate dignifying tabloid stories with a response, we feel we must set the record straight to protect our family. The story that ran in the New York Post on December 8th, and has been subsequently spread across the internet, is filled with vicious lies and attempts to smear our character and that of our beloved daughter. We ask the public and legitimate media outlets to please 'consider the source' and to not further exacerbate our daughter's situation by repeating and legitimizing these false reports."
Well there ya go!
We just hope she gets better.

Offing herself probably had more to do with having her dad's looks.
Her mom's chaotic love life ...four marriages, dysfunctional family life, alcoholism ...
It's good these two stand united for the sake of their daughter. Anyone see Peter Cook trying to give his 2 cents yesteday? It was hilarious to think this guy has any more creditability than Tiger Woods. His nose was actually growing as he was talking.
How far is everyone willing to go to push these people over the edge? Leave them be, their kid is suffering.
There are no legit media outlets anymore
9;58 -- her dad's chaotic twisted love life and marriages, time in a mental ward, alcoholism .. at least be equal about it
shes had her family problems for sure. Everyone has problems, its just so sad that these people are in the public eye. I say , leave her alone shes young and doesnt need media to oush it any further. I think her parents, problems or not, love her and will help her. I hope she does well.
Errr whats a legit media outlet?
