Why Did Brad And Angie Ditch The Oscars?

The Academy Awards just weren't the same without 'em!
So, there are a couple of possibilities here. First of all, neither were nominated - but is that really an excuse? Brangelina is Hollywood's golden couple! C'mon now. Inglourious Basterds was up for Best Pic and all!
Also, the couple is currently overseas in Venice - apparently the fam took Shiloh to a children's party, says Us - while Angelina films The Tourist with Johnny Depp. Who thinks they should've flown back for the ceremony? Personally, I don't think they really care much about the Oscars...
Then again, maybe they were worried about bumping into Jen Aniston! I know, she didn't attend this year. But she did last time and wasn't nominated either!
I'm still waiting for that Brad-Angie-Jen run in!

It's good they didn't show up and make fools of themselves by hogging the spotlight.
Brad fathered a child with a Sudanese model. She is filing a paternity suit - that is most likely why they didn't go - they don't know when the info is going to come out so they r staying together and continue their happy family act.

They don't attend unless nominated- and sometimes not even then...this has always been the case. They don't need any extra attn & it leaves seats for producers & writers might not otherwise be able to get in...btw, ALL the 4 older kids went to the birthday party (many cute pics elsewhere), not just the white kid.

Major case of "sour grapes" because neither of them were nominated for any awards...couldn't/wouldn't want to wish "congratulations" to anyone for winning what they so desperately want/feel they deserve. Brad and Angelina are two egocentric attention whores. They ought to concentrate on raising their passel of rugrats and forget about stardom for the time being.
Sandra Bullock did not deserve to win anything. She is simply not that good of an actress.

Besides, Brad was probably pissed that critics didn't like his performance. And Christoph Waltz, a complete unknown, stole the entire movie from him. And now Christoph Waltz has an Oscar, and Brad after 25 years in the industry still doesn't. Angie just has the one from playing herself and being John Voight's daughter. And that was more than a decade ago.
Also, love the Golden Couple remark. You need to have your eyes checked dude. They look like homeless druggies.
