Maybe you wouldn't want to take a tiny newborn to a rock concert but trips around town are definitely fine. My firstborn was born near the Arctic Circle and the doctor said, take him anywhere just don't go for walks unless it's above 0 degrees Fahrenheit.

Yes. Back in the early to mid 1900's. But this is 2007! We stayed in the hospital for a week after a normal birth. We also sterilized baby bottles/milk every single day! And we would not take a baby out if it had not been baptized yet. Thank god it's 2007!!
