I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say that all of the teeny-boppers on here defending Britney are just that : teeny-boppers. No adult would fall into the Hollywood-hoax of music.

They don't easily buy into an image, a package, a fabricated "artist" that is a mere puppet for their producers and record label to make a buck.

Britney is not the only one. She was not the first. She will not be the last.

The music industry will be constantly pumping out new artist after new artist to take the place of the old and aging entertainers.

As long as Britney can keep herself in the media (which unfortunately is done through a means to an end in this day and age), she does still have the chance to come back.

She either needs to go back to what she does best (being the fit, toned, cute, bubbly, lipsynching, mediocre dancer on tour) or she needs to completely reinvent herself with a new image, a new gimmick, and (preferably) a new sound. Rock the bald head, show off the tats and write (or have someone write in her case) some darker, more meaningful songs that relate to her current hardships. It would be refreshing, real and a good dose of reality to her fans, the media and her peers.

If not... then this too will pass. X17 and the rest of the gossip sites will get bored with her, and she will fade away and be put on the old-toy shelf with the rest of the washed-up pop artists.
