Britney Spears may have hired the best lawyers in town for her custody battle with Kevin Federline - but as recent court filings show, they sure don't come cheap!
The AP reports that the Spears owes over $460,000 in legal fees to attorneys Stacy Phillips and Laura Wasser for their work representing the pop princess in her custody battle with her ex-hubby Federline.
Phillips is seeking $407,000 for four months' worth of work on Spears' case, with an additional $125,000 being written off.
Wasser, who took over the case in June, is seeking $60,000 for two months' work. Although Spears ultimately relinquished custody of her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, Wasser is credited with negotiating an agreement between the singer and Federline which allows Britney more time with her two boys.
In addition to Phillips and Wasser's fees, Spears has also agreed to pay for K-Fed's attorneys - to the tune of $250,000 in legal fees!
Good thing Britney's got all that money - she's paying more in legal bills than some folks spend on their houses!
One thing's for certain - Britney sure got her money's worth from Laura Wasser!

She could have saved herself a lot of cash if she had complied with the judge's orders in the first place. And that was just pure defiance on her part, no mental illness attributed to her not showing up for drug tests, court hearings, etc.

I wake at 6am. I make breakfast for 4, prepare one school lunch, pack one backpack, dress two daughters and kiss my husband and one daughter goodbye. One of our daughters goes to kindergarten, our baby stays home with me. I clean our house, shop for groceries, run errands and return home before kingergarten lets out at 12:30. I play with my girls. We read books and play games inside on rainy days. We go to the beach or park or play in the backyard on sunny days. I bake cookies and kiss boo-boos. I make stuffed animals and play dress up. I teach my girls and they teach me. We all learn something new every day. We giggle making dinner together and ambush our guy with hugs and kisses when he walks in the door. We eat dinner together and talk. Next it's bathtime, brushing hair and brushing tiny chicklet teeth. A little more playtime before a good story and bedtime. The next day I repeat the process. On weekends and holidays we travel to fun places together. We have family and friends over our house and we go to their houses. I am college educated, phyically fit, a happy wife and a mom of two daughters.
