OK- I've never posted a comment here but I figured what the hell. I am not a "Britney Fan," I am simply a young mother who understands what she is going through with this whole K-Fed thing. I also understand how she may lament the fact that the high-profile life she once knew was over once she had her children. I also think she may seriously be suffering from some kind of postpartum psychosis mixed with her drug use. Even if she's not on illegal drugs, we definitely DO know she is taking other prescription meds which are just as addictive and destructive. Aside from that, the woman lives every second of her life under a microscope.
Now about the gas thing- why on Earth does the woman need gas EVERY DAY?! She is seriously contributing to the oil crisis that America is facing right now. Stop buying so much gas, people! Britney Spears’ parent coach thinks she’s crazy

Troubled Britney Spears’ court-appointed parent coach is begging to be taken off the case - because she thinks the star is crazy, according to U.S. reports.

Insiders insist Lisa Hacker, who was assigned to monitor how Britney is with her two sons, is trying to get off the case.

“Ms Hacker wants desperately to be reassigned,” a source told Star magazine.

“She stressed that it’s not worth endangering her own life for someone who doesn’t seem to care what happens to herself.

If Britney did like the Olson twins and covered her face everywhere she went in public, you'd call her names for doing that. If she rode around with a chauffeur all the time, you'd call her snobbish. For those of you seeking "one good reason" why Brit leaves her house everyday aside from wanting attention, well I have one. It may not be right, as most posts this one will be filled with speculation, not fact. My speculation is built upon an understanding of depression or similar states which I have experienced in my own life. Britney may not leave her house daily for the attention, she may not leave her house daily to feel normal, but she does seem to be attempting to fill up those elements which are missing in her life with activities and material goods. I don't feel wonderful, I miss my sons, I will go out and keep busy to keep myself from focusing on that. I am sad, I feel empty, I will go shopping to get that quick retail thrill. I look at my empty home without my sons here, and I don't know what to do. I feel better when I'm out, so I will go out. I don't see why so many people assume the worst. Can't there be a gray area? Isn't that what real life is?

I suffered from depression for 3 years before I got help, and I truly believe that Britney is suffering as well. What you said could very well be true, but with me, it was the fact that I was scared to be alone. I know it sounds odd. I have a husband and a son. After my husband left for work and my son went to school, I totally freaked by being alone. I rode down country roads, I shoppped (well, mostly looked) went anywhere I could think of to keep from going back home. I would stay out all day until my son came home from school. Depression hits fast and it's the most horrible thing I have ever been through. It starts from the minute you wake up. The only relief is sleeping. I hope she gets help soon, because no one has to suffer with the new treatments that are available today.

Your theory would be more believable if her outings occured only when her kids were not with her and that when she did have them she stayed home to enjoy them.

I actually am well acquainted with depression and anxiety because I suffer from both. When I had my first son, I was so anxious that I didn't know what I would do. But the overriding love made me straighten out and focus on him and not me like I had been.

As for depression, I suppose everyone deals with it in different ways but generally depression seeds itself in not wanting to leave the house, sleeping a lot, and generally feeling sad. She is going all the time, laughing boisterously, going for lipo and lip injections, and basically maneuvering very well for someone very depressed. My sister is currently depressed and is having trouble just staying awake and doing every day things around the house. You won't find her dancing in her backyard in a bikini.

No, I honestly don't see this as depression. I do see it as some sort of mental instability but I am not an expert. Many have speculated bi polar. My question (and probably everyone else's) is why hasn't she been thoroughly evaluated and diagnosed for whatever it is? There is treatment for whatever ails her but it seems that isn't happening.

I guess it is what it is. Right now, Britney Spears is probably one of the most hated celebs around by the general public. Either that or just written off as a complete mental case. I would like to see her take positive steps to change that and, in the process, bond more with the kids and just get well. But she won't! As we noted here 1000000 times, the Chicago Sun Times did a great expose on how she calls the hot spots looking for where the paps will be, tips off the places she is going to, and calls the paps herself. Her theory is if you aren't in the spotlight they will forget you.

There are many forms of depression. And if she does have bi-polar disorder, I'd have to say that could be one of them ( old for that is manic depressive). I'm not an expert either. I only know from my own experiences, and from those close to me. Without going into my life toooo much, here's why I feel it seems like a form of depression:
She won't rehearse, she won't promote her album, her VMA performance ~ she has given up caring about her work, career, and public image, at least in moments.
Her hair ~ I don't care about the extensions, how good or bad they are, but some days she really looks like she needs a shower. I'm not judging, just saying, when you're down showering just doesn't matter as much.
Her inability to make rational decisions without being forced into them (driving with SP and JJ, fleeing the scene of the fender bender, not having a valid cali license) ~ in some cases depression can lead to poor judgment.
And finally, my case doesn't involve sleeping in bed all day everyday, just somedays. It's more like I don't want to sleep at night, but want to sleep all day. Then I get up and don't want to be sitting at home, that's depressing! So I get up and go out and do pointless things. I eat away the day, kill time, because making it through a day quickly is all I want. Just see parallels. But I could be as wrong as wrong can be.

Britney Spears’ parent coach thinks she’s crazy

Troubled Britney Spears’ court-appointed parent coach is begging to be taken off the case - because she thinks the star is crazy, according to U.S. reports.

Insiders insist Lisa Hacker, who was assigned to monitor how Britney is with her two sons, is trying to get off the case.

“Ms Hacker wants desperately to be reassigned,” a source told Star magazine.

“She stressed that it’s not worth endangering her own life for someone who doesn’t seem to care what happens to herself.

“She says Britney is crazy and that she can’t take it anymore. “This isn’t good for her health. “She’s a nervous wreck.”

Hacker’s biggest fears, according to Star, is when Britney drives. Recent pictures have seen her texting while she drives, wearing dark sunglasses at night - and even running red lights.

“The monitor is afraid every time she has to get in the car with Britney,” the source old Star.

“It’s terrifying because she doesn’t pay attention to the road and is either talking or texting on her cell phone.”

The source added: “Ms Hacker says her job is to watch Britney while she’s with her kids. But Britney’s life is just too chaotic.”

FUNNIEST POST TONIGHT! ;)

For those of you seeking "one good reason" why Brit leaves her house everyday aside from wanting attention, well I have one. It may not be right, as most posts this one will be filled with speculation, not fact. My speculation is built upon an understanding of depression or similar states which I have experienced in my own life. Britney may not leave her house daily for the attention, she may not leave her house daily to feel normal, but she does seem to be attempting to fill up those elements which are missing in her life with activities and material goods. I don't feel wonderful, I miss my sons, I will go out and keep busy to keep myself from focusing on that. I am sad, I feel empty, I will go shopping to get that quick retail thrill. I look at my empty home without my sons here, and I don't know what to do. I feel better when I'm out, so I will go out. I don't see why so many people assume the worst. Can't there be a gray area? Isn't that what real life is?

this isn't related to britney, but rather the posts.. isn't it funny how sexism is built right into our very language. That words like "whore" and "slut" appear to be reserved for women only. How we choose to label women who act on their sexual impulses with degrading terms, but leave none such equivalents for the men? Even the word "player", one that is assigned predominantly to men, doesn't have the same level of negativity associated to it. A player is considered one who will use and break hearts, but not a 'dirty filthy whore' by any means. Tis not right. Our very words are entrenched with such double standards that continue to perpetuate a sexist society. No things aren't what they were in the 50's , but they are still bad enough that violence and prejudice against women can often be easily justified and written off. I guess Britney herself is a victim of this. hrm...

I'd be tempted to entertain your supposition as possible were it not for one glaring fault. She goes out and does these things even when she has her kids. Your theory would be more believable if her outings occured only when her kids were not with her and that when she did have them she stayed home to enjoy them.
I do agree that there is a deeper reason for her going to the gas station every day - I think it's a symptom of her mental illness.

well the truth is that the mother just wants to control every aspect of the teens life - but cannot come out & say that because the rest of society would frown on her decision. so the mother MASKS HER TRUE INTENTION(s) UNDER THE GUISE OF CARING TO BE SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE TO HER PEERS (SOCIETY) - WHEN IN FACT, SHE REALLY DOESN'T CARE ABOUT HER CHILD'S WELL BEING.
