It really kills me that she will be out and about tonight at starbucks or the gas station smiling like nothing happened. She has no clue how serious this is to her and her children. I read someone say that they felt part of Britney's problem was that she didn't know how to let go of her old life. I think that makes sense. I know when I found out I was pregnant I got scared, I knew I had to change a lot of things, and I knew it was the end of a big part of who I was at the time. Now, that isn't a bad thing, but when you value your pre child life, it is sad in a small way (though more than compensated for by what a child gives you in return). Maybe Britney never ever gave herself the chance to find out what kids do give back, because she has been trying this whole time to hold on to something that died the day her belly started to protrude with SP. She needs to let go of what was, and embrace what is. Make the best, and reinvent, and become something new and improved. Sigh.

But to say my old life has died is terribly negative and depressing. The majority of entitlement programs run on government funding, and Ron Paul said on an interview on the daily show that he wants to get rid of all the spending like that. I just want to say to the person who said your body changes after having kids that I have two sons and, before I had them, I was 122 pounds (5'5"). I now weight 122 pounds. My body STILL has not changed and I am 1000000000000000% happier now than before my sons were born. They are my life. I would never want to go back to my old life whatever that was. Ummmmm NO! Canadian healthcare is NOT like that. I live in Canada. If I want to see a doctor and I go either to my family doctor, or a walk in and get same day service. We can go WHEREEVER we want, and if we CHOOSE private healthcare, there are plans much like in the US that we can utilize, but we don't have to go private. The US has wait lists every bit as long, and the people are still footing the bill. No one I know has had to wait any extreme amount of time for something that is necessary, though I will agree when you need a hip replacement you can wait forever! My only complaint is that Canada is lacing in organ donation, not enough organs up here at all.

Oh yes, and I've had a child, colposcopys, outpatient procedures, casts, you name it all done for me at no cost and in good time! yay for healthcare! Your government doesn't want you to know how SWEET healthcare is, but trust me, it is SO sweet.

Jamie Lynn Spears, 16, has confirmed to OK! Magazine that she is pregnant. Oh. My. God.

A source tells us the interview, which hits stands tomorrow, is six pages and is on the record with Jamie Lynn and her mother. She tells the mag that the father is Casey Aldridge, who she has been dating for some time and first met at church. Brit's younger sister says she's keeping the baby.

Sources tell us that she has not yet told her older sister. Well, she knows now.

If Ms Spears had behaved herself in the past and had done as the court ordered, she wouldn't be worried by child custody arrangements at all, nor court battles. But she didn't. Becuase of her behaviour, Kevin and his lawyers are calling the shots and she can make no changes to child custody until February. If any changes are to be made at that time, she would have to shape up in a hurry.

Oh, and anonymous 1:48, I'm Canadian and work in a hospice for the terminally ill. Most of our clients have had to go south of the border for expedient healthcare service. Canada is SLOOOOW for even necessary procedures. Cancer patients have known this for years. Our government actually funds these people to go to the US for treatment that is not available in a timely matter in Canada.

Well the funding part kicks ass! I've never had problems though, and have had cancer. It was all done quick and easy for me, but perhaps where I live there isn't such a backlog. My father had good timely healthcare when he was ill with hepatitis too.
