The hearing was never supposed to take place next month! In January, they are reconvening and, at that time, Britney's lawyers were going to ask for more overnight time with the kids and driving rights back. The actual custody battle is nowhere near done.

In April, there is another court date set. It was hoped that all depositions would be done by then and the court and the people assigned to the case would have a full understanding of what type of parent each person was. With Britney (and Sam) not cooperating, it is holding up everything. Why should she get anything more when she won't cooperate?

BTW: Britney's lawyers can depose anyone they want to counteract Kaplan's negative reports. They just haven't. They can call Kevin and make him talk. They just haven't. I personally think they suck. Or maybe they just know SHE sucks.

And finally, the tension and stress around the deposition has probably increased exponentially with every skipped one, but she needs to forget about all that, shake off the stress, and realize it just needs to get done.

Speaking of religion.. I find it a little sad that the world, or at least NA, seems to be stifling a lot of religious expression, and just moving away from religion in general. I don't really follow any religion, but I DO appreciate the wonderful festive occasions that religions offer. I LOVE Christmas, and I love Halloween, I love a lot of the holidays. I wish there were more of them! But with this trend it seems like the ones in place now may survive, but new ones may never come to be. A long long time ago there were far more days observed for festive occasions, times of community and family celebration. I think every religion has something good to offer, and they all have significant overlap. I enjoy studying various religions, it humbles me. What I don't like is when religion is used to justify oppression and murder. Some countries in this world won't even allow a woman in labor to see a doctor unless her husband allows her to. Many women, who knew they needed help, have died because of this. Sometimes women have so few rights, and are scorned publicly and at home for their attempts to exercise what few they have.
