She could actually make "music", sans the cheesy sex-act dancing and the pathetic songs. You see, good music doesn't need the distraction of pretending to have sex on the stage. Really, it's nothing but an advanced form of bullying. I respect people who voice their honest opinion; I question the integrity of people who gossip and attack the character of a person they have never met. I don't know Britney Spears. I don't see her on a daily basis to make an educated statement regarding how she's dealing with her addictions or her relationships or how she relates to her children. I can tell you that there are substance abusers everywhere who continue to abuse substances. There are people going through divorces everywhere. There are many daughters at war with their mothers and there are plenty of worse parents out there than Britney Spears. Too bad the cameras can't catch THOSE people in all their acts of nastiness!

On the flip side, those of you who love Britney Spears have your own set of equally destructive issues. You talk like you know her as a personal friend just because you've read every scrape of printed matter about her. Every time I read a post from a Britney fan urging Justin Timberlake to "take her back" I wonder if it's Britney Spears who needs the reality check!

It's very easy for "regular" people to stand and judge a celebrity like Britney Spears. The next time you go through your "regular-life" activities; the next time you mow your lawn, go to the grocery store, take your kids shopping, grab a coffee at Starbucks, hold hands with your significant other, the next time you puke your guts out after a night of too much partying or take a pee break at a gas station...think about what it would be like to have, not just one, but CROWDS of photographers following your every move, EVERY DAY. For a day, it might be cool. Day after day, though, it would become very emotionally taxing to have people constantly taking your picture and calling out your name to get your attention, just so you'll look into their lens and they can capture you on film. If that were me going through that every day, it would get old very fast and I'd probably tell those motherf#@%ing photographers to f#@& off. I'll bet you would too!

The Press has made a point to photograph every aspect of Britney's life...all of the "normal human" things that every normal human does. The irony of it is that in photographing all of those "normal human" things, Britney Spears has been utterly de-humanized. It's easy for people to forget that "Britney Spears" isn't a cardboard box. She's a person. She's a mother. She's been through break-ups and pain, marriage, divorce, motherhood, career success and failure...all in front of a camera where everyone can scrutinize...and they scrutinize EVERYTHING! If Britney Spears goes out without underwear, she's a skank ho. If she's wearing underwear, but it's not "sexy" underwear, she gets dissed for that, too! The woman can't win!

What if it was you? What if you went out to dinner at a nice restaurant but you couldn't enjoy your meal because people were crowded around outside the building, shouting at you and trying to get your picture through the window? People inside the restaurant stare at you and while you're trying to eat, they interrupt your meal to bother you for your autograph. Try this: sit at a table and try to eat with 10 of your friends just sitting there, watching you. It's unnerving.

Do you hate waiting in line-ups? What if your car is parked only 3 feet from the door, but it takes you 20 minutes to get to your car because there's a crowd of paparazzi who want to take your picture and they're blocking the way? You have to have an entourage of security people to clear the way just so you can walk. Again, it might be cool for a day, but would you enjoy living like that? What if it was your face on the front cover of all those magazines and tabloids you see in the supermarket? Ever been hanging out with your friends, maybe looking at the pictures somebody took at a party or something and you see one of yourself that doesn't flatter you? Even in front of your good, close friends, you're embarrassed! Well, what if that unflattering photograph of yourself was plastered on every front cover on the News stand? And then, what if that picture was accompanied by a headline that shouted some obscene thing about you that's not even true, it's just something a group of magazine editors (that don't even know you) came up with as they sat around a table! It's just a caption to go with the picture...something to grab interest enough to sell that magazine. And, what if there were lies and exaggerations printed in all those magazines about you? Even if what was printed is the truth...I have friends that I share all my shit with, but those people are my trusted confidants...I wouldn't want EVERYONE to know all that stuff about me! What would you do if EVERYONE knew all about your private life? What if there were comedy spoofs done on Letterman about you and the ugly divorce you're going through after you've given birth to your second child, you're carrying more than your ideal weight and you're battling post-partum depression? Could you handle that? I won't lie - it would push me over the F#@%ing edge!

Now, certainly, Britney Spears has knotted her own noose with her erratic behavior. If you're a celebrity and you know that everything you do and say is going to be public knowledge, then you should be wise in what you allow the world to see (eg. your crotch is YOUR crotch. Only you and your lover should ever see it). You should keep your nymphomatic tendencies to yourself and opt not to film every waking moment of your relationship and then broadcast it as a reality show and sell it on DVD. You shouldn't attack cars with umbrellas or shave your head (unless you're making a thought-out choice to do so and you can explain it, which then makes it a bold statement instead of a desperate cry for help) and you should wear underwear(unless you are aware of yourself and understand the mechanics of getting out of a car with a short skirt on and no underwear). You should understand the things you support or don't support politically. When over half the population of your country does not support the decisions of your president, you should understand why that is. If you don't, then you should avoid interviews with networks like CNN since such an interview is bound to include questions about your political views. If you're going to be interviewed on CNN, you should be prepared to voice a strong opinion about the politics of your government and be able to express your opinions in such a way that nobody can accuse you of being ignorant or stupid or detached from reality. You should not drive a vehicle with your baby in your lap...most people understand the hazard. But, I wonder about the other person in the car. Britney's bodyguard. What the hell was wrong with him? He was riding in the passenger seat during that incident...could he not have, perhaps, advised Britney that driving with a child in her lap might be potentially damning - not to mention dangerous and illegal? It's so hard to find good help these days...

It's a double-edged sword; celebrities need the attention of the Press. The entertainment industry insists that bad publicity is better than no publicity, but there are times when the cameras should be turned off. No human being deserves to suffer the humiliation of having all of their shit out for all the world to see. It's not a fair judgement, since the pictures don't tell the whole story and what's printed is subject to editing and things spoken in an interview can easily be edited and taken out of context. The Press leads the public by the nose through the medium of visual suggestion. The public suffers from its own addiction to drama and eats that shit up.

Anyway, I think that humanity needs to learn compassion for Britney Spears and celebrities like her. Paparazzi need to learn humanity. When the limelight shines too brightly on a person, it crosses a boundary that every human being deserves...the right to simply live.

If you don't, then you should avoid interviews with networks like CNN since such an interview is bound to include questions about your political views. If you're going to be interviewed on CNN, you should be prepared to voice a strong opinion about the politics of your government and be able to express your opinions in such a way that nobody can accuse you of being ignorant or stupid or detached from reality. You should not drive a vehicle with your baby in your lap...most people understand the hazard. But, I wonder about the other person in the car. Britney's bodyguard. What the hell was wrong with him? He was riding in the passenger seat during that incident...could he not have, perhaps, advised Britney that driving with a child in her lap might be potentially damning - not to mention dangerous and illegal? The entertainment industry insists that bad publicity is better than no publicity, but there are times when the cameras should be turned off. No human being deserves to suffer the humiliation of having all of their shit out for all the world to see. I can't speak for you guys, but if I had an intense dislike for someone, it would be someone I actually knew, or someone of real influence and power; someone in control of the fabric of our society. Yesterday reportedly when she was filming her new video, a photo shoot was also scheduled for the magazine’s upcoming cover story.

As you would expect, Britney supposedly showed up three hours late. When she arrived, she was allegedly out of her f*cking tree and even though everyone knew of her notorious eccentricities (which is putting it kindly) everyone was also shocked to see her so wasted, exhibiting behaviour outrageous even for her. For instance…she had her dog with her – the new puppy she called London. Since London is a puppy and since she has yet to provide him with a proper, regular routine, of course London pissed and shat all over the place. And who picked up the poop?
