Britney Spears: Gimme More VMAs!

Though MTV hasn't made an official announcement confirming this, Marc Malkin at E! reports that Britney Spears has earned SEVEN MTV Video Music Award nominations! Way to go Brit!
Last year, Britney took home three awards for "Piece of Me," and we're really hoping that she was nominated for "Womanizer" this year, because the sexy vid definitely has VMA winner written all over it! It may not be quite as hot as the "Toxic" vid from 2003, but given the nude scenes, dancing and makeout sessions with hot men, it's pretty darn close!
There's still no word on whether or not Britney will perform at the ceremony, which will air live on September 13, but we wouldn't be surprised if she brought the Circus to NYC for the 26th annual VMAs!
We'll def be watching!

Wow, what a turn around. It would be nice if she said something about not being able to do it without the love and support she has received.
She is an incredible performer. She has completed 61 performances on her world tour with incredible energy, 33 still to go. Bringing the Circus to the VMAs would be a piece of cake.

7 Awards for a person who does not even sing live in concert. What a freakin joke the music business has become. Are they going to give her a award for best mom on the planet too. MTV is so far up Britney's ass it is sad. MTV SUCKS.
VMA awards are based on fans votes. I'm sure Brit's publicist will persuade her rabid fans to sit in their parent's basements for as long as it takes to “win” her more fake awards. Her fans pulled it off last year. I’m sure they can do it again. It will mean the same thing as last year too. Nothing.

The MTV videos are meaningless. They pay artists to be there to grab the headlines. These are pity prizes because there is no way anyone could say she has the video of the year or th song of the year. But yes, Britts, please perform live again and make more a fool of yourself.
