Britney looks trapped and miserable as usual. She almost never smiles. And I'm not talking about when the paps are around; I'm talking about even in her interviews when she is with others, and not the paps. She said she is unhappy and feels trapped. She is not the happy go lucky person from the beginning of her career that was so fun and loving. She is now old and jaded and unhappy which does not seem to be changing at all. She even said she is just not in to the fame any more or her new CD. The life is just not there for her anymore, which she has stated herself recently. She is just walking through it all so everyone around her can make money off of her and control her. She is crying for freedom and is just a trapped animal in a cage. This is a very sad and lonely Britney who just does not care anymore. And when you do see her smile, it is just a plastic smile, a fake smile. She really has gone down hill mentally, emotionally and spiritually, and she just does not care anymore. I wish the old and happy fun Britney was back. It made everyone happy and was contagious. Now she just brings me down and makes me feel sad for her and for myself. Even though this CD may do really well, I still think the real Britney is over and has been for some time. At least I still have her old stuff from when she was great and a lot of fun.

I have to agree with you 8:35 (second one). Brit is just not there anymore. Everyone else is doing the work (writing the songs, producing her shows, walking her through it all). She just does not seem to be in to it anymore and she has said so. I have watched all her interview clips that have come out lately, and you can see she is so very unhappy and just does not want it anymore. She just wants to go away. But everyone around her, her dad, managers, family, industry etc. just keep pushing her and collecting all the money they can off of her. She is under a court ordered conservatorship. She is treated like a five year old. The incredible amount of life that used to be in her and that amazing drive and happiness she used to have is just gone now. This does not even look like the same person or being. The family and industry have put the outer shell back together, her body and image, but the person themselves (Britney) is just not there anymore. The core of who she is or was is gone and destroyed. All that is left is a very lonely and miserable being and person that looks like she will never be back since to much has happened. I hope her new music does great, but I don't think she will ever do great in herself again. I'm her biggest fan and I feel so down and depressed about all this. It makes me feel like I don't want to go on anymore.

Britney has a meltdown, and the first thing her dad does is have cameras follow her for 3 months for a documentary. Does that sound like a loving family who puts Brit first? It sounds like a family that will sell out there daughter so the fans can keep them in money.. Poor Poor Britney, I hope her fans boycott this cd to spite what her parents are doing to her.. That is so true 9:04. It isn't the HATERS that are killing Brintey, it's her obsessive fans and the industry that are pushing her over the brink to insanity again. That is a great post and so true. I also feel the same and am a big Britney fan. I'm not fooled like the reast of the fans who think she is doing great and then pushing her hard to make a "big comeback". I can see that she is so depressed and hatting this "big comeback". I'm not going to push her or buy this CD since I know it is going to ultimatley push her over the edge. It's also puting all kinds of money in her families pocket and the industry again (the ones who are controlling and killing her). If she does tour, she will fall apart again. I don't want that at all. I think she needs to take a break for a couple of years, get some serious therapy, get out of the conservatorship, get her kids back, send Kevin to jail for extortion, and then find a new manager who really cares about her and not just her "career", get rid of her family, and start her new life and new career then.

A true fan knows Britney. We know, we have been there with her all these years and we want to see her happy first. Not just a robot making money. It is obvious you are not a true fan like me. I want Britney back, but I want her to be happy in her personal life first. If Brit goes away for good for her own peace of mind I will still love her.

What about Brit's dad?? Was he better?? An alcoholic all his life, Brit hated him, feared him, Lynne is his second wife.. She is a brave young woman with a great career and many who love her all over the world including friends and family do so because they know she is at risk for having panic attacks or worse. All you people that talk about her bad behavior that is fine but you are wasting your time because you can not stop the love. One thing I have learned since all of these things that have occurred with Britney is what it looks like to see someone that you think has a better life than you have fall down and become self destructive which is something that I have been fighting in the past myself. It is not a pretty sight but I learned during my ordeal that if you get through it when you get to the other side of bad you realize that it is okay to make mistakes as long as you continue to try not to make them again and again. Britney has a good future ahead of her. I am not certain it will be so public after this album but she will always be loved not because people feel sorry for her but because many of us have accepted that we see a little of ourselves in some of her behavior. If she accomplished nothing else she probably made more parents be aware of their children's behavior and more tweens and teens be a little more open about what they are going through when they hurt and maybe let them know that you do not have to let things escalate completely out of control. I think she is quite a strong young woman given her background. The past does not matter so much as what she doing now. It seems like she is putting it out there and letting people know how it feels and there are so many of us in this crazy mixed up world that can identify with Britney that we accept her just the way she is and we hope that we are fortunate enough for our loved ones to accept us just the way we are. Any one of us at any time can go off the deep end. You do not always see it coming. It is what you do afterward to claw your way back that matters. I hope that there are some young people listening and watching her because I believe if she continues on this path she will show a lot of people what it is like to struggle with your demons and fears and face them head on and survive it. Life is not perfect. We have to accept that we, any one of us at any time can get lost. I am so proud Britney said it just like that. Those words are the ones that matter. She knows that she got lost and maybe she now understands what Amazing Grace and But for the Grace of God really means. I hope that many of us do because without knowing it is difficult to know how to live happy.
