Reviewing this album created an interesting dilemma. In order to be objective, Britney’s personal dramatics had to be left out of the equation. However, since some of the songs on the album reflect her personal issues, her personal life was inevitably considered. The truth is, for every positive on the album, there were two negatives. A song like “Break The Ice” mixed an urban pop beat with a catchy melody (sung by her backup singers) was countered by a song like “Hot As Ice” which had Britney singing in a childish, whining voice while referring to herself as a “living legend” and unfortunately did nothing but add to the speculation that she refuses to accept the fact that she is not 16 anymore. Similar sentiments could be made about “Heaven and Earth” whose 80’s style production sounded really out of place among the other urban dance songs.

What a RUSHED album. What kind of crap is she throwing together? I guess her family is there just in time to collect whatever little amount they make from it.
And it's funny how the last few albums of hers have dropped in December and done better due to HOLIDAY SALES. They aren't brave enough to hold off until February or March because sales wouldn't be nearly as good.

I predict Circus to be a DUD. Her loser family just wanted her to make something before the c-ship ends, Britney goes off the rails again and commits suicide. The entire Spears family --esp Lynn --are white greedy trash.

Blackout fell off the TOP 100 (not 10 - ONE HUNDRED) after only 21 weeks. If she promotes Circus, it might do okay - but once the records of Britney abusing her children comes out (which could be next year), it's over for her image. They HAVE to rush this album in case the info gets out.

I think it will sell 10% more than Blackout. The 1st week will do somewhat well, then a huge drop like normal.

Words cannot express how excited i am for this new album. I honestly didn't expect new material this soon, considering "Blackout" was released last October, but it seems that the label wants a clean slate. Brit's last album sold nearly 300,000 copies in one week with no promotion and Brit in a bad state, this album will most likely get 10x more promotion. This is a very good place for Britney, i can't wait.
