Kevin's lawyer and Britney's lawyer AGREE that the divorce and custody document details should not be released publicly because it could do harm to the children. A lot of information would be released that could pose a danger to them. This has nothing to do with the custody case. Today was just a chance for the media to contest the release of these documents. Kevin and Britney were not there. Lawyers will be back in court on September 15th to decide this, but it's doubtful it will happen. There will be a custody case, and it will be in the near future. Dates have not been set because they had to get this other stuff cleared up first. I would suspect the custoday battle case will start after the Sepetmeber 14th hearing.
