Britney Tops This Year's 'Heat' Index

The wild up and down year Britney Spears had in 2008 earns her the top spot on USA TODAY'S Celeb Heat Index for the second year in a row.
The index is based on the amount media coverage a star receives in magazines and online, including here on X17online, natch!
Britney was the most covered celeb for 11 weeks this year. While her breakdown earned her the top spot in January, the year ended on a high note with the release of her number one selling album Circus.
Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt came in second, third and fourth place respectively.
Stars new to the list year include: Twilight hottie Robert Pattinson and Gossip Girl star Blake Lively.
Dropping off the list this year: Paris Hilton and Anna Nicole Smith.
