The Commissioner has done everything by the book and his rulings have been well within the scope of the law. If Britney's attorneys felt otherwise, they would have asked he be removed or filed for a change of venue long ago. Like lawyers, judges are held accountable for their actions and there are nasty consequences if they are called before a judicial review board and found "guilty". They can be disbarred and removed from the bench thus ruining everything they have worked for (kind of like Britney). As far as Kaplan and the Commissioner being friends, that may be true. Judges start out lawyers and spend years in private or governmental practice before moving to the bench. They often belong to the same Bar Associations and professional organizations and may have for many years. More than likely, Britney and Kevin's attorneys know each other for the same reasons. That does not mean they are going to compromise their cases for each other. Your feelings about the case are skewed due to your bias to Britney. You react emotionally and not practically. Commissioners and judges are not afforded that luxury -- they are required to rule within the constraints of the law. Remember, Britney has brought all this on herself. It is not the Commissioners fault (or anyone elses for that matter) and your "it's not fair" whining makes you sound childish and ignorant. Kind of like Britney.
