I had surgery the morning of the OD ceremony at Fenway. Thankfully it was at 7am (the first of the day).... I told ALL the doctors and nurses that I *had* to be home BY 12:30 so I could settle in for the ceremony! And I was!

That was one of the BEST things I have ever seen! When I saw Buckner come out to the thunderous (long overdue) applause, then Pesky (whom I ABSOLUTEY adore...he's my old man crush) raise the flag and say "PLAY BALL"...I cried like a little girl! What a great day!

Now...our guys need to start hitting! That Japan trip really took a toll on them. They will though, I have faith in them! GO SOX!
