Britney's New Lawyer Speaks!

Despite early indications to the contrary, it appears that Adam Streisand will not be representing Britney Spears in her suit to regain conservatorship over her estate.
Mr. Streisand has issued the following statement:
"At the request of Britney Spears, Adam Streisand, a Partner at Loeb & Loeb LLP, met with her yesterday to discuss her legal rights in connection
with the conservatorship over her person and estate. Following that meeting, Mr. Streisand learned that the court had issued orders that prevent Ms. Spears from retaining counsel of her own choosing, and on that basis, Mr. Streisand has decided he will not represent her at this time."
So what impact will this have on the hearing regarding Britney's conservatorship allegedly going down later today? We're not sure - we'll let you know as soon as we hear anything!

She has no right to obtain a council to question conservatorship? That scares the shit out of me. She does not have a will that states who should care for her if she is unable to? So the court hired shrink agrees she is too crazy to understand her situation? Or,thy must wait untill the court shrink says she is able to understand her situation....and then she can hire him.
Ah.... that is what it is. She has to wait untill the court shrink says she understands the situation and that report does not go to the court untill Feb. 13 and the hearing is on the 14th.
And even at that point he judge has to read it and then say okay she can hire a lawyer.
Thing is when people start labeling you crazy and unable to handle your finances... man that is an uphill battle.
They can lock her up in a private facility and we may never see her again....

There is a lot more to mental illness than whether or not you are currently in a hospital. People in the middle of a mental breakdown are NOT able to make good, sound decisions for themselves.

TMZ is at the downtown L.A. courthouse where attorney and co-conservator Andrew Wallet and attorneys Samuel Ingham and Jeryll Cohen have just arrived in court. Jamie Spears is not there ... yet.
