Britney's Parents Want Sam Out of Her Life

Jamie and Lynne Spears are determined to keep Sam Lutfi away from their daughter Britney, and going to court today to gain conservatorship over their ailing child is just the first step in their plan.

A source close to the Spears family tells PageSix.com exclusively that the pop star's parents are even changing the locks on her Beverly Hills home, where Sam has been staying. "They want him out of her life completely," the insider says.

Jamie and Lynne's move in court today comes as sources tell PageSix.com that Sam has been trying to get Britney out of UCLA Medical Center, where she was admitted on a 72-hour psychiatric hold on Wednesday. But an insider tells PageSix.com that the Spears family feels that if Sam really cared about Britney's wellbeing, he would step aside and let doctors take care of her, rather than be trying to get her out of the hospital

Last night I posted that Jive Records did not recognize Osama Lufti as Britney Spear's manager and he would likely be shut out of at least any management of her professional life (if Jive/BMI has anything to do with it!) Now with the conservatorship hearing about to start Jive executives are prepared to testify that Britney is incabable of attending to her welfare (he assets, contractual obligations, etc.) while other witnesses and medical professionals will testify that she is a danger to herself. This is the burden of proof for a conservatorship which, if the court is smart, they will award to Britney's family. There is no proof that she had an alcohol or drug addiction. She passed as clean all of her mandated court tests, Kaplan would have hauled her into court if she did fail. The only testimony saying she had a problem were fired ex- employees who were paid big bucks to come up with these stories and anonymous (was that you?) sources to gossip magazines. She never has been arrested for any alcohol or drug offense. Treating her for drug addiction when her problem is mental illness will not help her at all.

I agree about her drug use Elphie. Just because people think you are a drug addict does not make you one. Bipolar Disorder can by appearance of behavior especially when manic seem as if the person is on speed. I have been known to stay up for 5 or more days and weeks with just a few hours of sleep. I'm talking maybe 15 hours sleep in a course of 2 weeks or so. It was before I was diagnosed. I felt like I did not need sleep. I wrote a lot of poetry, kept an immaculate home, worked 10 hour and 12 hour shifts at work and all kinds of things. Never had a ticket or even been stopped by police. But then when I CRASHED and that happened about once a year for me before diagnosis I would not clean house for a week or two, not want to do my laundry or grocery shop or cook. It felt like I had no skills at all to do anything. Not everyone is a DRUG ADDICT. I am not saying that BRITNEY has not self medicated. Or that she has not drank but I thinkif she was as big of an abuser of drugs and or alcohol as has been reported she would have already been placed UNDER THE JAIL by THE COMMISH and I think he is a biased BASTARD and he is a BUDDY to KAPLAN not that I disagree completely with what he has done in reference to protection of the children but I think that he should have at least tried a long time ago to get someone involved in a commitment order for her. Drug testing has advanced to the point that it can separate the caffeine from Red Bull, from the drugs in meth. In fact you can even buy home tests for detecting drug abuse. Laxatives would not mask or eliminate drugs that have reached the blood.

There are many children who have the drive to accomplish something. Their parents then act as facilitators but do not direct the child as to ambition. Britney was one of those. I was one of those. I had an inborn desire to do something. My parents made sure I got to where I needed to be to develop my goals, but they had no idea what I was all about. Sam Lutfi tells TMZ he's not going to show up for the court hearing today.

TMZ broke the story about Britney's parents going to court in an attempt to establish a conservatorship. They believe Lutfi is placing their daughter's health and assets at risk.

Lutfi says he is "appalled and disgusted" that the parents have gone to court, adding that "Britney is in control of her assets and her business manager is in control of her assets." Lutfi says his lawyers are discussing his legal options.

Sources say Britney's medical status right now is "gravely disabled."

They just appointed a temporary conservatorship for her financial assets (good til Monday). They still have to file for medical & will do so for Monday. They have to await the diagnosis for her care and will probably file for a more extended conservatorship soon. This guy may really end up in jail if the court establishes a pattern of malfeasance.

I can relate to what they are going through. It's very hard, when someone you love is in this shape and you have to make decisions for them. I would NEVER do anything bad against my mom, even if their were no rules about this. I just wanted other people to know, you don't do this to take advantage of anyone. The judge today granted Britney Spears' parents a restraining order against Sam Lutfi. As of now, he is ordered to stay away from her.

The restraining order prohibits the persona named from having any contact with Britney Spears. A court rep said no other name, other than Lutfi's, was on the order.
Andrew Wallet will have forensic accountants look over all financial documents.
