Did Britney's and Paris' Pets Come From Unethical Puppy Mills?

Los Angeles Animal Services has shut down Pets of Bel Air, known as the "Pet Store to the Stars" due to its popularity with Britney, Paris, Denise, Demi and others (see video below), due to expired operating licenses, according to ET.
Although the agency is still checking into whether or not the store has acted illegally, at this point, they can still re-open within 48 hours with the right permits.
However, this comes on the heels of a months long investigation by the Humane Society, which claim that employees of Pets of Bel Air "routinely deceived customers by falsely claiming that all puppies sold at the store, which is frequented by Hollywood celebrities, are raised by private breeders and that the store doesn't buy from puppy mills."
So what does this mean for A-list pets and their owners?
