Felony Charges Filed Against Britney's Ex!!!
The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office has issued an arrest warrant for Adnan Ghalib.
Britney's ex is being charged with felony assault for allegedly trying to run over a process server.
Here's what the DA's office said in a statement:
- A former boyfriend of singer Britney Spears was charged today with felony assault with a deadly weapon and hit-and-run after he allegedly rammed his car into a man serving a restraining order against him.
Adnan Ghalib, 36, (dob 9-4-72), was charged in a felony complaint for arrest warrant with one felony count each of assault with a deadly weapon, battery and hit-and-run, with the special allegations use of a deadly weapon, a car, and great bodily injury, said Deputy District Attorney Bill Ryder.
On Feb. 11, the victim was allegedly serving a temporary restraining order obtained by Spears’s father on paparazzi photographer Adnan Ghalib’s Encino apartment complex. Ghalib allegedly got into his car and drove it toward the victim.
To avoid being penned against a trash truck, the victim allegedly jumped on the hood of Ghalib’s Mercedes and hung on as the defendant swerved the car. The victim later fell off, breaking his wrist and sustaining other injuries. The defendant allegedly drove away without stopping.
Prosecutors are asking bail be set at $110,000. If convicted, Ghalib faces up to seven years in prison.
