Is Britney Going To Extreme Measures To Stay Thin?

Britney Spears SM50cover_230.jpg Britney's back on stage, looking trim and toned, so it must be those gym sessions and dance rehearsals right?

Well, Star reports that Brit's ab-solutely fabulous figure is the result of her starving herself, "abusing a prescription drug," and twice weekly colonics. Yikes!

A source for the magazine reveals that Brit was "having trouble losing the last five to 10 pounds," so she started going to extreme measures to stay slim. The source adds that sometimes the pop princess will go for days without eating any solid food.

Do you think this is true? Or are her rock hard abs the result of hundreds of crunches and miles of running?

Shame on you for giving credence to the crap Star puts out. Ignore those liars and stick to the facts!

Posted by: Anonymous

The facts? OK......let's see, she's a horrible mother who lost custody of her kids, was strapped to a gurney twice, a habitual user of drugs and alcohol, needs a 24/7/365 babysitter, has the brain of gnat........shall I continue?

Posted by: JJ

Is it really necessary to start a topix about this?? Let us focus on her new CD, which rocks!!

Posted by: THEMOMMA

IF SHE DOES GO ON TOUR WITH THAT LIP SYNCING, HAND WAVING SHOW OF HERS I'LL BET THE HOUSE SHE'LL BE ON THAT GURNEY AGAIN SOON !!! SHE'S A TRAIN WRECK WAITING TO HAPPEN ...........

9:44 you can dwell on, and point out a persons missteps and mistakes, but who are we to judge a person that we have never even met. I can imagine if someone put a microscope on your life and your parents lives the way they do with celebrities, I bet you have a good bit of things in your lifetime that people would also wrongly throw judgement on you for.
As for her starving herself, I call BS on that. In interview after interview she has said "I eat what I want, I have to be able to eat what I want". In the documentary she was eating cheese grits, and before going to her video shoot for womanizer she went through the drive-thru of Mickey D's and got a hashbrown (of all the greasy things!) So BS on the starving...

Posted by: Anonymous

Damn, Brit was a fat sow just a few months ago.

Posted by: Anonymous

Anyone with brains can tell the "fat" picture on the left was taken when she was pregnant. Look how the weight sits.

Star is just not credible, regardless.

Posted by: Anonymous

she can swallow my cum if she wants

Posted by: poetstar

How ridiculous star! First, that is a before pic of her pregnant - duh, second, with the restraints she is under are we supposed to believe that she can get away with no eating or abusing anything. please.. just more drama for nothing. leave her alone already!

Posted by: Anonymous

I think that's a bullshit, the STAR was desperate to invent something for the cover.
Britney wasn't that fat. Maybe she had to lose those 10-12 pounds, but she did it gradually thanks to intense workouts and a healthy diet. And everybody knows that when you have a toned body, it's easy to maintain a stable weight, because you burn more calories that having a loose body.

Posted by: Chika

gosh Britney doing something stupid and self-destructive??? say it ain't so,.,. I'm impressed tho.. she has shaped up her squatty-body and looks pretty good... wonder what drug she's using.

Posted by: Anonymous

Star Magazine is a tabloid magazine over in the UK. There reports are basically BS.

Posted by: Anonymous

I wouldnt doubt it! after she is CRAZY!!!!

Posted by: Anonymous

"but who are we to judge a person that we have never even met"

You Britards do just fine with that, always screaming about how amazing she is, how she's "back", how much she loves her kids, etc. etc. Double standard much?

nice 10:27!!

BRITNEY SPEARS (Rolling Stone)

Britney Spears' triumphant comeback lost a little bit more of its romantic luster today, thanks to Rolling Stone publishing an interview with writer Jenny Eliscu where she opens up about how Spears had become much more sheltered between the time the two first met in the summer of 2001—when a chatty Spears walked Eliscu through her then-new Hollywood Hills mansion—and earlier this year, when there were instances where the two people breathed the same airspace, but didn't speak to one another. Eliscu also talks about how Spears' legal status affected her reporting:

You've heard her quote from the documentary Britney: For the Record about how she feels like a prisoner. Did you get that vibe from her?

The thing is, when I met with her, I wasn't looking for that. I had started to feel uncomfortable with all the restrictions, like submitting my questions for approval and not being left alone with her. And whenever I asked who was making these rules, I was told it had to do with the conservatorship. Like most people, I didn't know much about conservatorships or how they're supposed to work. Of course, the funny coincidence is that the most famous conservatorship in recent years isn't even Britney's: Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were being run by a government conservatorship. And we see how brilliantly that turned out (It turned out horrible!).

Anyway, I had done some preliminary research into it, but I was not yet aware how hard Britney had tried to fight it initially and why. As my research progressed, it started to become clear to me that this might not be something that should still be in place. Because it is designed, ideally, to protect people who are seriously ill. We're talking about people who are non compus mentis, according to the lawyers I consulted. Or they're in a vegetative state. Or they're just so old that they can't take care of themselves anymore.

But Britney? It was making less and less sense as time went on.

So, as I say, it wasn't until after my last meeting with her that I realized how far beyond the scope of my interview this level of control extended into all facets of her life. And so, unfortunately, I wasn't, like, checking to see if she blinked out an S.O.S. code or whatever. But in hindsight, I did have a new understanding of the quote of hers at the end of the story, which is the last thing she said to me, in the context of being interviewed.

She was describing this song she wrote about artistic expression and masquerade — pretending to be other people and putting on shows. And she says, "Through this, you create your world." The song is about a girl who likes to live in a world of make-believe, and she's got all these people trying to come into her world that she didn't invite in. It's pretty telling. When you think about it, Britney Spears is an artist — a pop artist, in the truest sense — and sometimes artists do crazy things. I'm not sure why Britney isn't allowed to act out in the ways that we normally consider acceptable from artists. And we're guilty too because we created this Britney Spears character and we won't let her change.

Posted by: Anonymous

Britney’s fans and her management need to let up on Brit. The girl just went through a nightmare for the last few years. She ended up on a psych ward twice because she went crazy. You can tell in her performances of late that she is just not in to it anymore. She has even said so a few times. She sometimes looks like she is about to breakdown. It is her management and her fans that are going to kill her. A lot of people feel this way who have really taken a good look at her. But her fans just want to party at her expense. If she does have a breakdown again soon, it will be the fault of the industry and her fans. They will be responsible for pushing her to hard and to fast. You can tell she is not in to it anymore. She needs some real peace and quiet, her kids back, the conservatorship over, and her freedom!

I think you are very right. In California it is very, and I mean VERY hard to put someone under a c-ship. Courts will only do it after a lot of psychological tests and doctors have made it very clear the person has some major mental problems. And that they just can't take care of themselves to the point that it may kill them, or their life is in great danger if they are left alone. Basically they are mentally at the level of a kid or someone with real thinking problems. Yet here we see her "team" and dad putting her up for sexual sale, then pushing her to tour to make money for everyone. Britney has millions ($120,000,000), and royalties that come in all the time for the rest of her life. She does not need the money, but they do!

Posted by: Anonymous

The poor girl is mental. That is why a court of law put her under a legal c-ship. You don't do that unless you are really in bad shape mentally. She is lost and unstable. And the first thing her dad and manager do is have her strip naked for her video Womanizer. Then they put her on a tour. That's like taking a child and pushing them to do all of those things when they are not able to understand those kinds of things yet. To have someone like this poor woman, who has mental problems, under such stress and sexual situations is really sick. They need to back of off Britney until she is better, far better. Let her do those things after her mind is back and she is legally able to take care of herself and understand the consequences of her own decisions.

BRITNEY SPEARS' COMEBACK: A SNAP JUDGMENT

01:49 PM PT, Dec 2 2008

Spears isn't trying. It's not that her team, led by her longtime handler Larry Rudolph, hasn't carried out a strict, carefully orchestrated comeback game plan.

You just can’t force the girl, a mother of two who today celebrates her 27th birthday and the launch of her new album, “Circus,” to want a comeback; even while the world seems eager for it (fans sent her single, “Womanizer,” to the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart in its second week of release). Being back in the spotlight has worked its magic on her hair, her body and even her personal life.

But the fire in her eyes? And Britney's once consistent ability to turn it on when the curtain rises? That appears to be absent, at least at the moment. In its place we’ve got the former pop princess on autopilot, and it’s as devastating to watch as her 2007 MTV VMA performance of “Gimme More.”

First, there was this year’s VMAs.

MTV would support its onetime golden girl and present her with her first-ever "moonmen," including one for the ceremony’s top honor, video of the year. Spears’ appearance would also be decidedly low-key: no performance, just a taped sketch with Jonah Hill and her thank you speeches. Comedy is usually Spears’ strong suit no matter what insanity has gone on in her personal life -- just watch her past appearances on “SNL” and her more recent role on “How I Met Your Mother” -- but her bit with Hill fell flat.

Viewers stuck around to see what might happen. The awards show was watched by 8.4 million people, an increase of 19% from the year prior. Still, it was the first sign things weren’t quite back to normal.

Rolling Stone and Glamour landed the splashy profiles in which Spears agreed to participate. But the music mag, which in its February feature painted a portrait of an out-of-control starlet, also noted that while Spears was better, she was also flanked by her team at all hours, her time managed down to the minute. Glamour, in a more feel-good, hopeful piece, noted that Spears was “nervous” during the interview and that her energy level at the photo shoot went from “alert to lethargic.”

Sunday’s heavily hyped MTV documentary on the singer, “Britney: For the Record,” also made no attempt to hide the singer’s mood swings, One minute she was joking around, but for most of the program, she seemed lost in her own thoughts. She talked about wishing she could start over -- with, perhaps tellingly, a new life, not with a new career -- and at one point she broke down to her interviewer: “I’m sad,” she said, before letting the tears flow.

But, as usual with Spears, one strong performance could forgive everything. The music video for “Womanizer,” promoted and launched as an event in and of itself on “20/20” in October, made it seem like it could be possible too. There she was, dancing up a storm and rocking her newly reshaped bod.

Unfortunately, the same weekend “Britney: For the Record” aired, videos of Spears performing her single in Germany and on Britain’s "American Idol"-like “The X Factor” circulated online. All the moves were there, but the singer went through them as if she were counting down the seconds until she could run off stage. When the host of “X Factor” attempted to ask a few questions afterward, she gave polite but clipped responses. Did she have a good time? "Yes, awesome, thank you." Did she have any words of wisdom for the show's contestants? "Good luck and just keep doing it."
To cap the comeback media tour, ABC's "Good Morning America" erected a lavish circus tent with all the accoutrement for Spears’ appearance today (her first stateside performance of material from her new album), got celebrities including Hugh Jackman, Taylor Swift and Reese Witherspoon to tape birthday greetings, and presented her with a birthday cake that took 60 hours to make.

Spears performed two numbers with the same restraint she exercised in the events abroad. And afterward, when confronted with the enthusiasm of Diane Sawyer and Robin Roberts, she was politely flummoxed. “Thank you,” was all she kept repeating. Spears watchers were unimpressed.

Maybe things will change should “Circus” sell well. It won’t be tough to beat the disappointing sales for her last album, “Blackout.” Maybe she’ll take comfort in the cautiously optimistic reviews. Maybe when her tour launches in March, she’ll be entirely rehabilitated.

But for now, Spears’ comeback feels like one assigned to her. Should she decide she wants in, perhaps then the fireworks will follow.

Britney can't dance anymore because of her two knee injuries she had. She hurt her knee in 1999 and had to have it operated on. Then she hurt the same knee badly in 2004 and had to have it operated on again (the same knee). If you look on some of the Britney fan sites, you can find high quality pictures of her knee. You can see some really big operation cuts on her knee, three of them, and they are two to three inches long.

And if you remember, the insurance companies would not cover for her when she had to cancel her Onyx tour in 2004. She then had to cover the cost of the cancelled tour herself.

Also, the insurance companies that are covering this tour right now have probably made some stipulations in the contract that she can't do anything stressful on her knee (such as heavy dancing like she used to do) or they will not cover her. She can't dance anymore like she used to and never will be able to again. All she can do now on stage is lip-synch and walk around. And that is not very exciting at all!

You dont get a toned figure with rock hard abbs by taking drugs. Only by working out.

spears women have lardass genes

Posted by: Anonymous

Shitney's *rock hard abs* were spray painted on her big gut.

X17 is a tabloid that lies their asses off to get people to post. We all have already seen what Britneey's diet plan is/was. Star is rubbish and X17 is right behind and/or in front of them. Her exercise program is why she is in the shape she is in. She has been working very hard and you foolish little jealous haters are as bad as X17 making up whatever works for you to believe your delusion. She is not perfect but she is a big star and name any one of them who is. Or anyone you know who is certainly not any of you idiots. I am not perfect. Oh wow none of us are. Its amazing how much people think what they say matters. Like you are the only ones in the world that has the correct opinion. None of us have it right. It is Britney's life to live and she has plenty of people working with her to make sure she takes care of herself. You people are way out of control anytime anything that has Britney's name in it occurs. She is doing great. Therapy is in order for this whole damn site. My God I have never seen the like of crazies as I have seen here. Call me crazy but that is the truth in MY OPINION......We all have our own truths is what is correct.....

C'mon X17. Watch TMZ tonight at 6:30pm. They tell it like it is. Most of Britney's fans are talking about her fake abs on her performance on GMA. She is not starving herself to be thin. IT IS CALLED AIR BRUSHING!!! That is what she had done to her abs. She had them painted on. If you watched the GMA segment you could tell that with every different angle her shadow on her stomach stayed the same. That is called fake abs and many celb's do it when they bare midriff to make them look thin and to have defined abs that they don't really have. Remember to watch TMZ tonight at 6:30pm and they will tell it like it is.

Posted by: Anonymous

Yes Britney is going to extreme measures to spray fake abs on her that she doesn't have. She is so self conscious about what was said about her on the VMA's last year that she is going to extreme's to be airbrushed any way she can so people can think she is really thin. Example: look at her new album cover, completely fake and airbrushed. Example: look at her performance yesterday, abs completely fake and airbrushed. I call that extreme. She needs to stop worrying about what other people think and wear something that covers up her spare tire instead of hiding it with fake abs.

Posted by: Anonymous

Call me crazy but the britard @ 12:16 can't think straight cause her head's shove so far up britter's ass fresh air can't reach her brain that is the truth in MY OPINION......We all have our own truths is what is correct.....

10:27 the only "tard" evidently is yourself. I am actually not a fan of Britney Spears or her music, but judging a human being, not knowing them, and only going on percieved notions via the media etc is narrow-minded and ignorant.
As for calling the people that enjoy her music derogatory names, most of us got over that sort of behavior in 5th grade, just something you may want to think about...

Posted by: K

Wow, Star magazine? Ya'll are really scraping the bottom of the barrel. Next you'll be posting stuff from the Enquirer like it's a fact. The people who run this site are excellent for comedic relief. Almost as good as some of the people who so desperatly hate Britney that they'll believe anything they read as long as it's negative. Love it!

Posted by: Anonymous

12:44 you hit the nail on the head! That is what I am trying to say, even though I am no fan of her singing, the people that post here and judge her as though the tabloids are fact are just ridulous!! I thought the average person was more intelligent than that...

Posted by: Anonymous

Well that is one way to get rid of her.......

Posted by: NOT!

ya sure the bitch has changed. why not just give the kids back to her 100%?

Posted by: Anonymous

The lover and haters have a lot in common. The lovers only believe the GOOD tabloid stories. The haters only believe the BAD tabloid stories.

Posted by: Anonymous

The other thing lovers and haters have in common is that they can't go a day without making a comment on this site.

Whatever Leave the Girl alone.
Be happy for her that she's working hard to get back on top and seemingly succeeding.

Posted by: Anonymous

Leave this poor girl alone. First she is critized for being "too fat" THEN she looses weight and now she is getting shit for doing this the "wrong way"

Go bug someone else

Posted by: Anonymous

you guys are all gay!
It's called working out, and staying healthy...she's not doing anything wrong...she looks amazing!

Posted by: Anonymous

of course she is fake. she also had her lips done. she will do anything to get body back since she can't sing, parent or dance.Thank goodness, that the music industry is about talent these days.

Posted by: Anonymous

Has Star ever printed a truthful story since it came into existence??

Posted by: Anonymous

Well this is total bullshit. lol
Get a clue.

"I'm Mrs. she's too big, now she's too thin", her song says it all.
